Apparently the company is in liquidation. Took my TAG Heuer watch to them to replace battery. Gone to collect this morning and only security guard at door in Sandton City store. Nobody there to return MY watch and have to now contact liquidator to retrieve my watch. This borders on theft as far as I'm concerned. Will have to report this to SAPS
I ordered and paid for my canopy on 19 July 2021. After numerous follow ups, I was referred to Renier who responded to my comms. 3 months after my order was placed I gave up as one feedback was that my canopy is in powder coating and thereafter in welding. Welding after powder coating??? The owner contacted me as I requested Kanopi to refund me my deposit. He followed up with me after the weekend to get details of my order, ie colour and specs after he told me a few days earlier it will ge ready that week. I informed him again that I don’t want it anymore. It would now be a grudge purchase. He promised to refund my deposit. He also said another customer will be very happy with a canopy being ready immediately. It is now another 6 weeks later and my deposit has not been repaid, WhatsApp’s and e-mails are not responded to and phone calls also not answered. Including one where I said I’ll come and pick up the canopy as I don’t want them to fit it if my experience so far is anything to go by. No answer from the owner nor sales person to today. Be very careful if you desperately want a Kanopi. Be ready to wait. They seem to have overcommitted themselves by taking orders they can’t honour in a reasonable time. However, expand their business to Cape Town. Continue to discount their product. Basically seem to manage their working capital with deposits from customers lured in by the discounted prices and good reviews from the few that took delivery of their Kanopi’s. What’s the point of paying 50% of the price 5 to 6 months before you receive the product? Is this a type of Ponzi scheme to finance working capital?
