Bought a welder 6 weeks ago. "Special offer", buy one get one free. Purchase price for 1 welder twice deducted. There after ANOTHER 5 deductions from my ABSA credit card. Purchase price was+-R900 but up to now R 3 800 has been deducted from my card in various amounts with NO communication at all ! ! ! I was de*****ed of this via Pinterest.
My previous review was most likely responded to by an automated system. On 6 and 7 June the courier company DSV (ref 0028255556) responded with 2 sms's stating: DSV confirm receipt of your Standard bank card and will contact you shortly to confirm delivery. Although the courier company responded it still remains a Standard bank (who did NOT even bother to follow up on the matter) whose bank card is outstanding !
Lizette Jordaan. Standard bank contacted me about 2.5 months ago, offering a replacement card since my current card was nearing expiry. After 7 weeks I still did not receive my card and called the helpdesk. As per Howard J below I was holding on for a very long time. The lady was very helpful but still NO card. Two weeks ago the courier service DSV sent an SMS on 6 and 7 June (Ref 0028255556) stating that the card is on its way. Up to now I still have NOT received my bank card. My card has lapsed at the end of May. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED .... TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THAT I HAVE BEEN A CLIENT FOR MORE THAN 22 YEAR !!!!!!!!!!
Good day I have been an ABSA Platinum Client since 2009. I used their credit card facility with no problems from either sides. In November 2020 I applied for ABSA vehicle finance and it was approved with no delay. I went on pension on 31 October 2021 and made provision as best I could for the months of the payout waiting period. On 24 December I made an online overdraft application with ABSA, Ref [A1W-731-CTQ-019]. ABSA states that applicants would receive feedback within 5 working days. I however kept on receiving emails i.e. to resubmit last 3 months payslips etc. Every time such an email mentions a new reference numbers, being: C1389958, C13840231, C13868092, C13890744 and C13969979. I have also sent my own enquiring emails and made numerous calls. On 08 January 2022 I called once again and spoke to Ms Maggie Phuti, what a friendly, patient and helpful person. A star worker that could unfortunately not assist me as my case was allocated to another consultant. Ms Phuti undertook to bring my issue, including the 5 reference numbers mentioned above, under the attention of "my consultant's" supervisor. According to ABSA's promises on their online applications to clients, the client would receive feedback within five {5} working days. It has NOW been fourteen {14} working days without ANY response from ABSA. I doubt that the amount of my OD application is too high as it is barely half of my credit card limit. According to the SANLAM Credit Dashboard my rating is 92%, "very low risk". I am really disappointed AND becoming STRESSED now as I have to pay my normal monthly expenses by month-end, and am seriously cash strapped. I trust that this review would receive the attention it deserves.
