This company deserves no stars...but there is no option for that. Pls do not give your smart phone to Alpha Cellular for a major repair On a recommendation from a colleague, I gave my S23 ultra for repair. It wasn't coming on or charging. The owner of Alpha Cellular Y***x said it will be accessed. Cell phone was collected around 14/09/2025. It took 2 weeks to be accessed...and around the 29/09/2025 I was told it was repairable and will cost approx R4900. I was also told don't get a new phone and what information was on my phone won't be lost. I was told parts weŕe ordered from overseas and will arrive by 29th October 2025. At this point....the red flag was I had to keep checking for update and feedback. When I called on the 31/10/2025, I was told parts arrived on the 30/10/2025 and they was putting it on. On the 4/11/2025 I was told my phone came on, got hot and went off....it could be the 'ic" My phone needed to be put on test and they will call me. I remember asking will parts need to be ordered from overseas..Y***x said no....they have. No feedback was thereafter given to me. When I tried to get hold of Y***x on the 13/11 2025 ....all 10 calls remained unanswered. It was then that I read the negative reviews and I got shocked. On the 14/11/2025 when I got through to Y***x I was told parts were now coming from China and he was not sure when. I then asked for address of shop to go see my cell phone and Y***x in person. I was told he will be there after 14h30.When I went to shop at 15h00 was told Y***x had already left and I spoke to technician. When I asked him questions it could not be answered yet the same technician worked on my phone. I asked questions... like how long will it take for parts to arrive from China...When my phne came on -how much time was it on for before it went of. No answers were given. I was very upset and brgt to their attention the negative feedback especially after reading someone waited 1 year for their phone. Then on 17/11/2025 my cell phone was dropped off with the same colleague who referred me to them and I was told to contact Y***x directly to ask questions. When I contacted Y***x he said they decided to book it out because I expected constant updates/feedback. 1. Is it wrong to ask for weekly updates? 2. Is it wrong for them to tell me that they need to order more parts from overseas? 3. Is it wrong to ask questions when the parts will arrive? 4. Is it wrong for me to be upset? My cell fone backup on Google drive only stays for 55 days before it get automatically deleted.. so I lost my backup. Alpha Cellular is not forthcoming with information. Can this company repair a cell phone with major repair like mine. I say NO based on what happened to me. BECOS OF THEIR FALSE PROMISES, NO CONTINUOUS UPDATES, I AM TODAY WITHOUT A REPAIRED PHONE AND I LOST MY BACKUP. MY PERSONAL OPINION, DONT GIVE THEM FONES FOR MAJOR REPAIRS. LASTLY MY CELL PHONE WAS RETURNED, BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE ALL MY ORIGINAL SAMSUNG PARTS ARE INTACT
