Poor workmanship and poor client services.
You will see from my previous reviews on this platform, I have always given credit when it's due. This time, however, I am appalled to actually be writing this review. I, however, feel that I owe it to other non-suspecting clients, such as my 23 year old daughter, to warn them to think twice before they spend their hard earned money on which is most probably the center point of your home, a lounge suite. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the furniture we received from Joubert Furnishers / Home and Office Furniture. We spent R20,000 on this purchase and expected value for our money, but what we received was far from satisfactory. Firstly, we received the couches way earlier than what we were informed. Then we found out that one of the chairs feet is much higher than the other chairs. When Bradley came to replace the feet to match the others, we discovered that the manufacturer had put much higher feet on this chair to try and disguise the fact that it was shorter—an obvious attempt to cover up a significant flaw. I do not accept the excuse that, at the time, they maybe did not have the correct feet in stock. There is a clear lack of quality control, which is shocking to say the least. Or were we just next in line to have received a reject from a previous customer? When we ordered the colour, Janko actually mentioned that he had 6 other orders for the same colour and material. The stuffing in the couches is clearly not high-density foam as promised. They are hard and uncomfortable, nothing like the showroom models. I remember Janko boasting about the quality of their high-density foam, even comparing it to similar manufacturers and playing them down, which makes this all the more disappointing. The arm and backrests are so thin you can feel the wood frame underneath, which was also not the case with the pieces we tested in the showroom. We were also missing the clips that were advertised on Facebook and should have been included with the purchase. To make matters worse, the stitching on one of the ottomans is uneven, further highlighting the poor workmanship. I even made an appointment with Janko on 12 August 2024, and visited the showroom in person to address these concerns. I invited him to come to my home to see and experience the issues firsthand since he lives nearby, but he has yet to follow through on this and does not respond to any of my WhatsApp messages. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. For the R20K I spent, I expected much better quality and service. I would not recommend this company based on the poor quality of the products and lack of follow-up on their part. In the meantime, I am still waiting for Janko to pitch up at my place to feel how uncomfortable the chairs actually are.

Highly recommended and trustworthy!
I believe in giving credit where it is due! Iron Horse Construction has proven to me that there are actually trustworthy construction/home improvement people out there who are willing to go the extra mile! Not only are they trustworthy, their work is also of outstanding quality. They also supply quick quotes at very affordable prices, something that is a rarity out there! Carel and his team are highly recommended!

Tired of excuses. Now cannot pay me back my deposit.
Unreliable, empty promises, cannot pay me back my deposit immediately, can only pay back on 6 March 2022. Not sure he is 100% honest about his whereabouts. Every time he has to start at my place, there is an excuse, does not respond to my messages, then he has a new phone, then the new phone breaks. After I paid my deposit he had to first attend to another client, then when he finished at this client, which was supposed to be a 2 day job, he claimed this his worker had Covid. In January, when he was supposed to start, he claims he was in Botswana. After realising that he also only responds when I post a comment on his FB page, I asked my deposit back. After my comment on his FB page, it page gets deleted.
