am submitting a complaint about the way my son was treated by Safair staff at Cape Town International Airport this morning. Causing him to miss check in for his flight and then not allow him to check in. He arrived in the line at check in at 9 am this morning for flight to Durban FA463, He stood in the Q waiting to check in and then after some time a staff member came and move some of the Q over to another Q, he was then pushed towards he back as the other people moved to the front. When he got to the check in he was told that he couldn't check in as check in had closed 3 minutes ago. He proceeded to explain to the lady Sihle the situation and she was not interested . He tried to reason with her but she would not assist and was clearly not interested in assisting my son. She refused to give my son her name and details so he could take it further. She proceeded to take his suitcase off the scale and was clicking her tongue and had a very bad attitude. He asked to see the supervisor which she did not want to help my son with, he managed to find him himself, but as check in had now closed no one would help him. I think whoever is in charge of moving the lines should make sure they know what flights people are on, to ensure this does not happen. As a family that travels regularly with Safair I am very dissapointed at this service. My son was very anxious as he had now missed his flight. Maybe the fact he is only 19 she thought she could fob him off and he would go away. We now have had to book another flight with Cemair to get him home. I hope this will be throughly investigated and some feedback given along with compensation for the missed flight caused. I have attached some video footage. My son was clearly irate and a bit panicked, after his request to be checked in fell on deaf ears of uninterested and unhelpful Sihle, but you can hear the staff member refusing to give him information I await your response. FNB Homloans SHOCKING service. I send in a request to have my homloan repayment reduced as I had paid a large lump sum in. needless to say by bond repayment doubled and I have spent 7 days and umpteen calls and no one can explain to me what has been done and how to rectify it. apparently it has been escalated to numerous people on numerous times and I am still waiting for feedback.I am horrified.Sad state of affairs.
