On Saturday 26 march 2022 my family and I visited the Chatsworth branch between 1:30pm and 2pm. On our way out a worker was mopping the floor with no sign telling us that the floor was wet my 11 year old walked and slipped on her back, when I turned around to see what had happened I found my child on the floor,when I asked the worker why was there no sign to say the floor was wet she said the board is on the other side and she was going to move it.At this time seeing my child cry I got angry and demanded to see a manager .I was told the manager was on break and I had to wait till she got back. The worker along with the security just said sorry. I refuse to leave until I saw the manager. Only to be told she will be back in an hour . I slowly walked away with my family helping my child to our vehicle. Once we got in my child began crying in pain, complaining that her right side was hurting,I went into the store again and demanded I wanted to see someone in management a lady by the name Lorraine came to see us,she contacted who she needed to and told me to take my child to the doctor,with it being the weekend all doctors were already closed. She told me they will contact me I must leave my details,which I did. I took my child to the doctor on Monday the 28th and also to the police station to get a affidavit done.With still no contact from management I went to the store on Tuesday, there was empathy from any of the stuff I was told to leave my original documents with them they would send it through. I did so and walked out. Wednesday I had no feed back from them so I phoned the store I was told the document was sent to Hr they will let me know,on the phone I expressed my disappointment as no one from the store contacted us to find out if my child is fine as I have had many sleepless nights with my child constantly crying in pain, I told the lady the lack of empathy shown is so upsetting I have no idea if I need to take my child for an x-ray cos I don't have medical aid. All she said was sorry will call you when Hr gets back to us. She phones my husband on Thursday despite me telling them don't contact him cos he will be in an exam only to tell him the same thing she told me when I called the day before. Today is the 4th of April I am dealing with a child that is constantly crying in pain,not sleeping,she has bruises on her legs and back (which I took pics off). I still have no reply from any one as yet, I am disappointed in they approach with this matter,I need to take my child for an x-ray because of the pain in her back I have no idea if anything is broken. All I want is someone to please tell me what is going on. I am an helpless mother who desperately trying to get my child better.
