Stay far away from Shadrack from Interthatch. You will need small work done to your thatch roof and he will convince you that the roof needs to be overthatched. This way he ****s you out of hundreds of thousands of rands. He will then provide you witn a 10 year guarantee for the overthatch work but when the problems start to show and you try to get him to do the repairs he will tell you that whatever the issue is is your fault and you need to do maintenance which is not needed and confirmed not needed by SATA. He does not stick to the SABS standard for thatching and does not use the correct materials. Save yourself thousands of rands and a lot of frustration and stay away from Shadrack and Interthatch
Stay away from Shadrack: Shadrack will tell you that your roof needs over thatch when it does not. He will then cost you hundreds of thousands of rands to overthatch. The work will not be done according to SANS and will have problems with your thatch roof. He will issue you with a guarantee of 10 years with no exclusions but you will never be able to enforce that guarantee when the problems start showing up. There will be technical issues to your thatch which he will blame on your lack of maintenance. He will try to force you to do maintenance and combing when it is not required to get more money out of you. PLEASE save yourself the absolute worste service imaginable and use a member of the SA Thatchers association to manage your thatch.
We booked out the entire estate for our wedding from 25 to 27 October 2024 and what was supposed to be an amazing destination wedding weekend turned into a horror show for our guests staying at Bosheuvel Estate. Our guests arrived on Friday to discover that there were dirty linens on their beds, the linens were torn and stained and there were no towels provided in the rooms. The rooms that did have towels only had 1 towel per room for 2 or 3 people. The rooms were filthy with what looked like never washed bath mats in the rooms that were actually provided with bath mats, dirty old soaps that people had left in the showers. There were toilets that were not working and the bathrooms had little to no water pressure in the baths and showers. The rooms that did have water had no hot water. There were not even bath plugs in the rooms that had baths. We decided to have our Friday night dinner and arrival celebration at Bosheuvel. It took forever to get a drink, food took up to an hour to come out and they were grossly understaffed to deal with a fully booked guest house for the weekend. With all of the above going on the owners were sitting drinking at the restaurant and didn’t lift a finger to try and sort any of this out. Furthermore, they have spotlights shining directly through the windows with no blinds or curtains provided in front of some of the windows so our guests were not able to sleep on Friday or Saturday nights. On the day we viewed Bosheuvel We requested extra beds in two of the rooms for guests who would be bringing kids. On arrival there were no extra single beds put in the rooms as promised but mattresses with nothing but a sheet, worn out pillow and a throw as a blanket. Our guests requested towels to be provided and rooms to be cleaned and wait for it…. There were NO towels at the facility. The staff had to drive and go and buy new towels for the rooms in order for the guests to bath/shower and get ready for the wedding. Bosheuvel was unable to cater for our vegetarian guests for breakfast. Ignored all of their requests to just remove the meat. While all of our guests were getting ready for the wedding suddenly there was no water at all at Bosheuvel. This was reported to management and we were told it was because the guest house was at capacity. Guests who were in the showers at the time could not even wash the soap off of themselves or out their hair. It gets worse… we booked and paid the full deposit for the entire venue in April 2024 yet they still took bookings. This led to double bookings and our guests having to vacate their room to give to other guests also attending the wedding. They took the double booking money and did not even offer a refund After the wedding, guests returning from the wedding could not re-enter Bosheuvel. They closed the gate and the security LEFT! Our guests had to lift the gate off of the rails in order to get to their rooms after walking the estate for half an hour trying to find someone who could assist. The rooms were not restocked with tea and coffee or serviced on Saturday morning. The dirty coffee mugs were left in the rooms by the staff. There were not enough coffee tea and cremora sachets to cater for 2 guests per room. The aircons were not working in the rooms that had aircons. One of our guests phoned ahead to enquire about safes in the rooms specifically as they would be is possession of a licensed firearm and were assured that all the rooms had safes only to arrive and discover that not one room had a safe in it. The towels that they went out and purchased for our guests were removed from the rooms after everyone left for the wedding and not replaced, so again, our guests had no towels on Sunday morning to bath or shower. The dirty bath mats als disappeared with the towels and were not replaced. There was ongoing electrical issues with the bedside lamps and flickering lights, this scared some of our guests, thinking they might cause a fire using the lights opting to rather use their cellphone flashlights.
While there fiber service has been reliable over the past 2 years we have been with them, when it goes down there is nobody you can speak to and GJ does not answer your calls, mails, text messages, WhatsApp messages nothing! Our service has been down for almost a week with absolutely no response from him but when they want their money they are very quick to make phone calls at night to collect.
What an absolute scam! Acting under the vise of a company called “jacuzzi pros” we were unfortunate enough to end up getting put in control with a guy called Constant de Wit who is their apparent “area agent”. Now suddenly when entering the jacuzzi pros website they are suddenly called everclear pools and spas and then when you fill in the contact form you get a mail response from local pros. This guys is the biggest BSter I have ever come across. He never shows up on time when he does show up. He is permanently lying. He comes and spends an hour then spins some or other story about something being wrong then leaves to go and do the same to someone else. He said he can install solar. Its clear that Constant de Wit has never worked on a jacuzzi in his life never mind solar. Save yourself the grief and run far away if you ever are as unfortunate as us to have been put in contact with Constant de Wit
I am in doubt that this man is actually affiliated with Jacuzzi Pros but anyway… Constant De Wit! Biggest BSer out there. Quoted us on 5 October. It is now 12 November. Nothing works. He replaced everything even the pump trying to install solar which he clearly doesn’t know how to do. He is NEVER on time. Most times he doesn’t even pitch. When he is attempting to work on your place he will get calls from other unhappy people he has lied to. He will then make up an excuse to leave without completing the job He has NO clue what he is doing, he will work on your problems through trial and error. He will rock up on Sundays with his masses of workers and when they leave the situation is worse than it started with. Absolutely pathetic Do not allow this person into your life your job will never be complete Avoid at all cost!
What started as a project that was supposed to take 4 days max ended up in a 2 week nightmare. The owner, smooth talker upon meeting him will promise you the best but what you will end up with is destruction. I have never seen such poor work in my life, if I could give them a minus rating I would. It is going to cost me more to fix what they have done to my home than the entire project was worth! They have ruined my entire bathroom and courtyard area… Im embarrassed for people to come into my home and see this work!
If I could rate 0 stars I would. WORST SERVICE ever!!!! Bought a couch a week ago with the promise of delivery in 3-5 days. Still no couch but they were happy to take my money. They never gave me an invoice number only a sales order number as apparently the couch had not been booked into stock yet, )how is an item on the shop floor but not booked into inventory) which has now apparently caused the issue - but they are also not sure if that is really the issue. Keep promising me logistics will call me, still have not heard anything from this so called logistics department. The staff are rude and blame shift to their head office continuously. Yesterday I was told the couch would come today and that logistics would call my by COB yesterday! No contact - they are still telling me as we speak that it will arrive today, still no contact from their so called logistics department.
