I bought a mid-range laptop. It worked for 19 days (that's counting the weekends too, when I don't use it at all). I work remote. I use my computer 8 hrs a day, Monday to Friday. I use mainly outlook (about 90% of what I use). Today, it is exactly 19 days old and still have the protective film on the screen. Today it also stopped working. I rushed to Hi-Fi Corp where I bought it. They have to take it in for 21 days. WHO can be without their computer for 21 days, never mind a remote worker?! No-one on site to check it out, advise or repair. Just book it in and come back. I left the store and had to take it to a computer repair store, where they will fix it (hopefully), they will charge me a small fortune, and maybe it will work for a while or maybe it will not. The laptop is NINETEEN DAYS OLD and it died. What do I have to look forward to after 6 months, or a year - if we get that far. I have now written to their head office. If they resolve my issue, I shall update this post. For those of you looking for a computer, stay away from the Proline Core i5.
My laptop is EXACTLY 19 days old. I use it monday to friday for work only (8 hours in total). Today it refuses to switch on. I took it back to the store I bought it from, as it is under warranty - they told me they need to take it in for 21 days. How do i work in the interim? If something dies after 19 days, I do not want it fixed and returned to me. This was not a bottom of the range laptop. it is not the greatest either, but for a R7000 computer, I expect it to work at least 21 days! I am joking now but if I do not, I will throw the damn thing in the pool. I bought the Core i5 btw.
Recently I requested to no longer pay my debt through this company, but rather to pay them directly. It took numerous requests, with no feedback / response and me having to resort to a Hellopeter review. Once my review was up, my request was actioned within a few hours (thank you Debtbusters!) In the next couple of days, I settled my debt with FNB and I ensured that my SAHL account was up to date. On the 8th of August, I emailed Debtbusters again to ask how I go out the process of coming out of debt review and clearing my name. To date, I have sent 6 emails and no response, not even am acknowledgement of receipt. I e en headed the one email: THIS IS WHY PEOPLE RESORT TO HELLOPETER. Still no reply 13 days later, with an email being sent every working day, since August 14.
Whilst the service amd debt relief they offer os fantastic when you need it the most, their customer service is beyond dismal. Almost / approximately 2 months ago i called to say i would no longer be making use of them to pay my debt - but instead paying my creditors directly. The consultant explained the pros and cons and at the conclusion of the call, it was decided I would cease making use of their services. I was told to put it all in writing - which I did immediately on ending the call. Fast forward to today. After COUNTLESS emails - mostly with no response whatsoever - my request has NOT been actioned. I send email after email and get no assistance at all.
Such great products. So many useful things. Great service too. Real value for money.
Only my second month and the took R1400 more or less, extra. They admitted the mistake. Told me they would reverse it. It is now 8 days since and no one can help and no one responds to my queries for updates. People go under bet review when money is VERY tight. So that R1400 +- is a lot of money to me and my family
