The service is absolutely shocking. Twice now we have ordered for delivery from Dry Ice International, who uses Seabourne Express as their courier company. The first order was not delivered on the day of delivery and we had a major run around to find an alternative delivery address in Pietermaritzburg because apparently the courier couldn't drive 10 minutes up the road to Hilton. The second time, they just didn't deliver. When we followed up, they said it went out for delivery but was returned to the depot in Pietermaritzburg for an unknown reason. Then we arranged to pick it up and 15 mins before the agreed upon time they suddenly told us it was in a van coming from Pinetown. They gave us conflicting information every time we spoke. I recommend using a reliable courier company, not Seabourne express, they are beyond useless. Dry Ice International really should up their game and use a different courier.
I have ordered dry ice twice now, ahead of time, for delivery in Hilton, Pietermaritzburg. Both times the courier did not deliver as promised and both times Dry Ice International were very unhelpful, basically saying they have nothing to do with it, the courier is at fault and they will ask him to phone me, which he didn't do. I would expect a company to deal directly with the courier company and resolve any delivery issue directly on behalf of the customer, not leave it up to the customer to keep following up and hoping the courier would contact them.
