I requested a callback from Sanlam Sky because I need to reduce my monthly premiums due to financial constraints. Instead of calling me back, they emailed me and told me to visit a branch or phone their call centre. I cannot afford travel costs or airtime right now, which is exactly why I am trying to lower my premiums. I then contacted them via their WhatsApp line. They requested all my personal details, but after providing everything, I still received no assistance or solution. It is extremely frustrating to be sent from email to branch to phone to WhatsApp without any real help. Customers who are financially struggling should not be forced to spend more money just to get assistance. I am simply asking for Sanlam Sky to contact me and process my premium reduction remotely. This level of service is disappointing
I never expected such rude and aggressive treatment from a debt collector. The consultant I dealt with showed zero respect or willingness to assist—no manners, no empathy, just pure pressure and bad vibes. They never tried to communicate properly before handing my account over, and even after, they kept taking money without explanation. If you value your sanity, avoid AMICA at all costs. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful. *1 star* — and that’s generous.
*Unwanted Update – If Anyone’s Interested* After communicating directly with the gym and thinking the matter was resolved, I was met with complete silence. Then, out of nowhere, I received a message from AMICA Debt Recovery saying, “Oh no, we’re not done — you still owe money.” To be clear: I was *never* contacted by the gym before being handed over. No courtesy call, no warning, no chance to make arrangements. Just silence, then debt collection. Now I’m being threatened with legal action (or was it *imminent* legal action? Hard to keep up at this point). If anyone’s reading this — please know, this could’ve been avoided. But here we are.

I’m raising a complaint about how my gym account was handled after ActvOn6 took over from Ignite. I was never contacted by ActvOn6 about outstanding fees or payment options — no calls, emails, or notices. My account was handed over to AMICA without warning. I even called once or twice to ask about future debits and was told they'd process them once their systems were sorted. Nothing happened, and I assumed the account was canceled due to the lack of follow-up. Despite this, ActvOn6 still debited my account after the handover. Dealing with AMICA has been frustrating. The consultant was rude, aggressive, and unwilling to explain anything or assist. I acknowledge some responsibility, but I was never given a fair chance to resolve this directly with the gym. Now I’m being charged inflated fees with no room for negotiation or support.
I was assisted by Pretty Silinda and she explained my premiums in depth and was nice enough to call when the line got cut. I appreciate the service that she gave me and would recommend budget insurance to close friends.
I contacted capitec regarding decreasing my credit card limit and also enquiring about my charges. I spoke to them over WhatsApp as I've been told in the past that they can't do it in the branch. I have been spoken to 3 agents unsuccessfully and then I got that we are busy. After speaking to so many people I still have not gotten assisted with what I needed help with.
I spoke to Imeshnee Nair about my current premiums and I was treated with the utmost respect. And she took her time in explaining all the services that are available on my insurance which I greatly appreciate.
I wrote about vodacom a couple of days ago and I have to get a response. I have been calling them about the extra content services which I have been charged for that I actually don't even know what they are. My account was suspended because of these extra content services now after paying for subscriptions that i wasn't aware of I can't even use the service I am paying for because they say my my money doesn't reflect. I have been calling since friday to no avail sending proof of payments and yet on their system they say they don't see my payments or my emails.
I would like to rate my experience with vodacom as terrible. I have been charged for extra content services that i don't know about. When I call in to tell them about these extra charges they tell me that I have to pay even though I am not fully aware of what I'm paying for as these are extra charges that I didn't consent to.
