I placed on social media that I am looking for a cheap vehicle. I was then contacted by Lucas Zitha who sent me information about a vehicle and I supplied the necessary details. I was then contacted by Johan Nel who provided my with a genuine looking invoice from Park Village Auctions and he required a deposit of R10 000 to retain the vehicle. He also provided me with a Capitec account number for the deposit. Whilst on my way to Park Village Auctions made the deposit only to be advised that it is a scam. When I contacted the bank the funds have been withdrawn. I am placing this to alert others that they should not deal with these two individuals
I sold my property in Krugersdorp last year with registration date in December 2021. When applying for the services to be terminated I handed in all relevant documents for the refund of overpaid clearance amount. For the past three months I have been trying to have my account closed and I be refunded the amount of R5200. First I was advised that they require confirmation from the Deeds Office the the transfer was complete. I enquired from the Deeds Office who confirmed that the Municipality records are updated when registration has taken place. This fact was conveyed to them and they then advised me that they do not have the comveyancing attorney's documents on file. These comprised of proof of payment of the clearance, the assessment for clearance and a letter to the municipality confirming registration. I personally went to the municipality when the absence of the documents was confirmed. I then sent all the documents to Ms Matodzi, receipt of which was confirmed. I enquired when the funds will be released and received confirmation that it will take approximately another 6 weeks for the refund to be processed. Why do the municipality retain these funds which are due to clients and why such a struggle just to get your money back?
I was scammed by Primefin out of R450 000. Then I contacted Royal Recovery Experts and was scammed out of another R100 000. Where can one institute action for recovery
