I am furious with FlySafair. My check-in bag, worth R2,500, came back ripped wide open and torn apart after my flight — and several of my belongings were gone. It’s been nearly two months of constant delays, excuses, and being ignored. After all that, FlySafair decided my entire loss — the bag and the ****** items — is only worth R500. That is an insult. Instead of taking responsibility, they’ve tried to blame a “third-party handler.” That’s absurd. I handed my luggage directly to FlySafair, and it was their job to return it safely. My property was in their care, and it came back completely destroyed. What makes this worse is that I’m flying overseas in a month, and now I have to spend my own money to replace a bag that FlySafair ripped to shreds. Not only did I lose personal items, but now I’m out of pocket again because of their negligence. This airline has shown zero accountability, zero care, and zero respect for its passengers. I’ve never experienced such poor service and such blatant avoidance of responsibility. If you value your belongings and peace of mind, do not fly with FlySafair. Once they have your bag, you have no guarantee it’ll come back in one piece — or even with your things still inside.
My suitcase arrived ripped open on a FlySafair flight and items were ******. When I tried to report it the same night at OR Tambo, staff refused to help and sent me away. I then sent the report by email the next morning on 2 September at 08:45. Despite that, I only received a claim form on 26 September — almost a month later — and since then nothing has been resolved. No reimbur*****t, no replacement, no update. FlySafair also required a police case number and stamp, which I attempted to obtain. After waiting two hours at the station I was told they cannot stamp it in Cape Town because the incident happened in Johannesburg — out of their jurisdiction — leaving me with no way to complete what FlySafair demands. It has now been 50 days since I reported this, and I have had to fly four more times without a bag. I am leaving overseas in December for two months and still haven’t been reimbursed to buy a new suitcase. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I expect FlySafair to take responsibility and resolve this urgently — including reimbur*****t for the damaged bag and ****** items.
I submitted a luggage damage and loss claim through FlySafair, which was then passed on to Chubb Insurance South Africa Limited. It has now been over 5 weeks, and I have still not received any feedback, acknowledgement, or progress update on my claim. I provided all required documentation, including the completed claim form, ID, photos of the damaged bag, proof of travel, and banking details. Despite following up multiple times, there has been no communication or resolution whatsoever. This level of service is completely unacceptable. It’s disappointing to see such poor accountability from a major insurance company that is meant to assist customers during travel-related losses. I sincerely hope this review prompts someone at Chubb to finally address my claim.
On 1 September 2025, I flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg on FlySafair flight FA215 (Booking Reference: WOY3OU). When I collected my luggage, my bag was completely ripped open, and several clothing items had fallen out and gone missing. I immediately reported the issue and sent all supporting photos and details as requested. It’s now been over 5 weeks, and I have received no proper response or resolution from either FlySafair or their insurer, Chubb Insurance. I have followed up multiple times, completed all the forms, and provided proof of travel, photos, and bank details — yet nothing has been done. The lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly disappointing and has made me reconsider using FlySafair in the future. All I am asking for is acknowledgement, communication, and a fair resolution for my damaged and lost belongings.
A person working here helped steal and sell my phone, when I contacted Drain blaster the receptionist tried to threaten me by saying it's illegal to put this review up, after I spoke to the manager he said he is okay with Frank taking part in criminal activity, Frank admitted to having my phone at work hours and selling it on Facebook marketplace. I would not use their service.
