I made a booking on Airbnb with PROPR, we agreed on a set price (35k) and date of our booking, they excepted my booking and made me pay an deposit of over R6k. After we paid the deposit a few days later there property manager Sarah emailed my wife to state that they made an mistake and our booking was not 35k anymore but doubled to almost 75k to be paid or we need to cancel the booking from our side and pay penalties. We then emailed Sarah back stating that its unfair that we have to cancel the booking and pay penalties as the fault is on their side so they need to cancel from their side on airbnb and refund us. Its been 2 weeks now with no reply from them, Sarah's phone is always on voice mail and when you phone the office they just keep saying they will escalate it with no response to follow. Today she has responded just saying we need to cancel from our side or wait on them sorting it with airbnb thats taking forever and no refund is being received, they are sitting with our deposit with no feedback no solution at all. We can't book another place as they have our deposit. They just keep blaming it on Airbnb. We booked 3 Aruba in Durban. Airbnb if you see this please assist with this situation. PROPR IF YOU SEE THIS PLEASE LET YOUR MAIN MANAGERS PLEASE ASSIST AS WE ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CC THEM OR GET RESPONSE BUT JUST GETTING IGNORED!!! BY THE TIME WE RECEIVE OUR DEPOSIT ALL PLACES WILL BE FULLY BOOKED FOR DECEMBER!!! WE ARE DISGUSTED WITH PROPR & AIRBNB AS THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE!!
