The worst experience ever! I took my African grey in for treatment and was told he had a Vitamin A deficiency. They did no tests on him and just diagnosed him by looking at him!! He was given injections without proper explanation and sent home, unfortunately he relapsed and we had to take him back, yet again doctors just looked at him and decided to keep him. The sad part is they don't explain why and what's the reason for treatment, they do not communicate and this causes stress on pet owners. My loving pet came back home and was fine for a few days but his condition worsened, we decided to take him back for the third time and it was only during this time they decided to take further action and do an x ray. 15 minutes after the x ray he was declared dead... the doctor (Dr Brown) did not explain how and what may have caused his death. What is upsetting is that Dr brown only mentioned after he passed on that x rays are harsh on birds and they had a previous experience like this. Despite her knowing this she never made us aware only after he passed on were we told. The most heartbreaking part is that they had handed his body in tissue paper ,which they use to wipe their hands!!!!!!. Never would I imagine how heartless a vet could be as well as unprofessional. His illness should have been treated sooner if they took the necessary action in the beginning. PLEASE BE AWARE PET OWNERS DON'T TAKE YOUR BIRDS , THIS IS NOT A VET THAT TREATS THEM.
