I have absolutely nothing bad to say about King Price and would recommend them to anyone. They really do provide the best price compared to value. It is true that you get what you pay for but with King Price, you really get more. They go above and beyond even in a time when we had a tight month they understood and assisted without hesitation. If it wasn't that I am immigrating I will still use their services.
They are either very badly informed or just really bad at what they do. I get calls from them weekly after the first call. On the first call, I was made aware of an outstanding amount on my Rain account that I was not aware of, I went through my accounts and saw that it really was outstanding and I arranged to pay Rain using the website while being on the phone with an Easton-berry Collections agent. The agent requested that I acknowledge that I have the dept with Rain and that I owe them that amount, after agreeing she then went on to say that there is another amount due that does not appear on the website. Now all of a sudden there is around R46.xx extra due that I should pay that is apparently "short paid" but after paying my Rain account I called Rain and confirmed that my account balance is R0.00, I have also requested a final invoice from them to confirm this. Easton-Berry Collections now keep calling me weekly so that I should acknowledge the R46.xx debt that I have with Rain that I cannot pay using the website and should be paid into an account that they will supply me but only after I acknowledge the debt, if I don't pay it I won't get "a letter" stating that my debt is clear. Upon further research, I am not finding their website, and the one I do find is hosted with Xneelo going to their email login not that you can find an email anywhere should you even need it, furthermore, they also keep the phone from cellphone numbers and not a valid landline and their calls keep dropping after the greeting or upon answering leaving even more queries regarding if they really are a valid company, even their address looks like a complex with a few for sale signs in the front no company logo or anything, why do they never email me the so-called "outstanding amount" and why should I acknowledge the debt first before receiving the banking details.
At first I thought I'd rather not leave my review. But I think that everyone should know what to expect and I experienced. My experience with Jawitz was bad from day one, because we were in a hurry of finding a place moving from Kroonstad to Welkom we ended up signing contract before even having a look at the house, and this because they never had the keys to the property it was always with the owner for some reason until after the contract was signed.. Our moving in inspection was done a week before we moved in and without us, by the time we moved in the grass and bushes where already almost reaching knee height, within the first week we reported multiple things we found in the house as stated we should do in our contract, this was never recorded by Jawitz and had to dig up old devices to resend the photos that we could find. Upon moving out all of a sudden everything is dirty and "needs cleaning" and their proof is the exact same photos they took when they did the inspection without us for the in and out inspection not the new photos taken. When we requested that we wanted fiber to be installed we had to get permission from the owner first, this was obviously reasonable. After eventually acquiring the owners number from other sources the owner swiftly told us that we should not threaten them, and that Jawitz told them that if they do not allow us to install the fiber we will move, we never made any such threats as we were already in a pinch of not finding anywhere else when we moved. A few weeks later after settling we found old rusted pipes and bricks at the back of the property, we requested that we remove this at our own expense. Jawitz told us that they will first need to find out from the owner and will come back to us. Around two weeks of following up the owners arrive at the gate to remove the rubble. After having a pleasant chat with them they told us that Jawitz told them that we demanded that the rubble be removed and mentioned nothing that we will have it removed on own expense. Also to note that on day one we reported that the roof had mold on it and it was just painted over and shortly after found out that the roof actually had a leak and that the mold was not just localized in the living room but was coming through the roof in all the bedrooms as well (at the time my kid was 15 months old) reporting this multiple times and calling them on their contract for breach of contract and to start looking for us for a new place ,after being threatened by the owner that the contract will not be renewed because we leave the house "dirty" while they arrive un-announced on a rainy day to fix the roof while in the process of cleaning the house and therefore they will also not fix the roof, we where told by Jawitz that we will handle the matter when it gets there this was in May 2022. On September 1st 2022 we finally received the notice that the contract will not be renewed after calling them on their "we will handle the matter when it gets there" they told us that we have no foot to stand on as we had to call them on the breach of contract and canceled the contract before a notice was given and we now had 2 months to look for a new place. Even going to the lawyers they told us the same and that we should not have abided to their false sanctuary by following the "we will handle the matter when it gets there" We cut our losses and started looking for a new place we at least managed to find a new place as Jawitz still didn't find a place yet we looked on their website and multiple places where available, but none where offered but other agencies didn't even hesitate to assist us and even showed us places that where not even on their websites yet (Thank you: Procor and Barbour & Thorne (Pty) Ltd) and to make it worse as per their contract and the rental housing act the deposit should be placed in an interest baring account, upon asking them about the the deposit at first they seemed shocked and when requesting a follow up on a interest of the deposit of 9500 their interest baring account only yielded around 0.93% interest where as a normal saving account yields around 4-5% interest. I call BS but yet little to no answers are given to any questions I ask of Jawitz Welkom over email nor will I probably get an answer as to what bank they used for the 0.93% ish interest. Expect as little from your deposit as you can, Jawitz seems to like to spend it on things that are not compulsory we have admitted to a chip in the window this has not been fixed but when there is concrete that fell out of the window frame with no bugs or dust on the windowsill and some dirt inside of the cupboards R2500 will be spent cleaning it and around R1400 to clear the flea infection because it is now my fault that the area has a flea infection (we never had a flea problem before until living there) yet the window still remains broken, I should have heeded the warnings given to me by my friends about Jawitz and now I tell my story to anyone willing to read it. I will be keeping the proof for the foreseeable future (forever) so for anyone that requires the proof I will gladly share my before and after photos, my contract my story any invoices etc. that is required.
