I was referred by an international company to buy my batteries (12 Ritar 12 V 7 Amp) from Current Automation, Kya sands, Randburg. My batteries were installed by a qualified Inverter ( Electronic ) Technician. The batteries were charged for 6 hours and it cut off within in approximately 15 minutes. The second day the same happened. I made an appointment with an Inverter (Electronic) Technician to see if there are any defects in my Power Trolley 8 machine. The Technician discovered when the machine is supposed to be charged and then it cut off within a few minutes. That means the battery cannot stand the voltage on the input / output. The Technician advised me that one / or / more of these batteries has corrosion on the cells and cannot load fully (properly). These batteries are connected up in parallel (voltage cannot be reached). He told me to take the batteries to the company where I purchase it and have it tested where it will be necessary to replace some of these batteries. An intensive investigation reveals that there was nothing wrong with my Power Trolley 8 machine. The problem that I experienced is with the batteries. I am sure that if I get an independent company (Lab) to investigate these batteries, they will find it difficult to believe that these batteries are new. New batteries do not lose their power within less than half an hour (sometime 15 minutes). I have sent an email to the CEO known as Mr. Etienne v/d Westhuizen on 09 Jan 2023 I and never received any response from him. The CEO could not be reached. That same day I reported this matter to Current Automations Website., and still haven’t receive any response. On 24 January 2023 I spoke to Tina Hatting (Sales Manager) and she advised me that she will come back to me as soon as possible with a solution, since then I have received any response. The minimum that these people could have done is to ask me to bring my machine (incl batteries) so that they can investigate these batteries. I suppose Current Automations are waiting for the warrantee time to lapse so that they can refuse to pay any attention. Selling this type of batteries are similar that a Lantern defect (deliver less than one hour service). I never bought second hand batteries. I am a pensioner and do not have a match money. I suppose it make it easy to rip off pensioners, because they usely don’t have money for legal action. I have spent R 2372=22 on these reject batteries and I never receive more than one hour service. Current Automation should feel ashamed of themselves by ripping the people of like this. Current Automation is a bunch of people that can only deliver bad service, as long as your money end up in their account, which they don’t deserve. I would advice anyone not to do business with them. Stay away from them, unless you have a LOT of money to WASTE. This review will reach thousands of people and even the companies that manufacture these batteries, where ever they are situated. It will not stop me from tracing up these companies in foreign countries. I have traced up an International company who manufacturers some of these batteries, where they promise the user that all Ritar batteries are Anti Corrosion Electrolyte and ensure longer life – see manufacturers Website. My next review will be in their area (their country). I am already in progress to get a private laboratory to proof that there is corrosion on these batteries. I never made any false accusations, if necessary, let Current Automation proof that the qualified Inverter (electronic) technician who done the investigation for me are wrong. That Current Automation sell a lot of rejects ( my goods ) and it will be proofed. I am tired of these so call business people that rip each and every person off and then they call it business man.
