Apparently it's not necessary to have your data recharged immediately after buying it, I mean, we buy data because we only want to use it tomorrow! I have a data contract with MTN and I use a lot of data due to teaching online. This morning was a nightmare, called MTN TWICE as my data recharge did not load, it's now 13h48 and my data is still not loaded. Support told me it's a 'back-office issue' and they have a 24 hour response time. Really?? Fortunately I have a back-up router otherwise I would have lost my students, not to mention quite a bit of money. Considering the nature of your business MTN, is this acceptable to you??
If you had options for minus stars, Telkom would be in that space. Unbelievably pathetic service! I am at a loss for words as to how bad they are. I spent 32 minutes on a call (most of it on hold) to cancel a service I no longer need (and have been overcharged for). The end result? I managed to speak to 2 pathetic agents only to be transferred to a VOICEMAIL box to leave a message!!! I gave up at this point and will simply block the debit order at my bank, I'm sure THEY will get hold of ME then.
Chamberlains Silver Lakes - I've recently been doing a lot of handy man jobs around my house and needed a few things so I have been to Chamberlains every weekend for the last 4 weeks. What an incredible store, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. What a pleasure! If they sold groceries, I would not shop anywhere else!
Absolutely fantastic service from Teniel and Ayanda at Spaces Menlyn Maine and Boardwalk. Got the best deal for a private office, both ladies so welcoming and professional. Highly recommended if you need to find a spot to work from. Again, absolutely wonderful!!
Service? What service? I created an FNB online profile in order to access funds from Paypal. As FNB are the only bank affiliated with Paypal in south Africa I have, unfortunately, been forced to deal with them. All I need is to activate this profile, called the FNB Paypal call centre who advised me, due to the sensitive nature of the transaction, I would need to physically visit a branch (in this day and age!!). Well, I spent an hour in the Grove Mall branch, only to be told to please phone the call center as the branch staff are not fami**** with the Paypal processes!!!! I tried again this morning, Paypal verified my account in no time but I had to deal with FNB call center again, and again, told to go into a branch. As it's a sizeable amount of money, I have no choice but to probably grow old and die trying to get FNB to assist me once and for all. RIP.
I went in to buy a dish drying rack, a small, simple addition to my kitchen. I was greeted at the door, a first! As I wandered through the warehouse-like store, and various departments, I was asked by several staff whether I needed assistance, always with a friendly greeting and a smile. The product I needed was on a high shelf, no problem! They wheeled over a ladder and happily fetched one down for me. Just a nice, friendly shopping experience at Makro Silver Lakes, will go back anytime!
Listen up KFC Hazeldean! Taking 'Fast food' to a whole new, grim level. I know KFC drive-throughs are there for convenience, but at what cost? Getting your order within a minute does not conjure up visions of haute cuisine, but when they manage to mess up even that, you know it's bad. How bad are you to massacre a simple chicken burger? Old, soggy tomato, the chicken fillet could have had a leading role in 'The walking Dead' and the lettuce was more limp than..well, use your imagination...in summation - Never again, I'd rather infuriate my cat and eat her food!
Brilliant service from Marvin and his team! Efficient, friendly and professional to say the least. I moved from Johannesburg to Pretoria and was dreading it but these guys made it an effortless experience. Can't recommend them and especially Marvin highly enough!
