UNIVERSAL PAINTS

We have been using UP for several years and had to get paint made up using NCS codes. The surfaces painted ended up needing 3-5 coats. When we approached the branch in Strubensvalley and Head Office, regarding the poor quality,they didn't have any reasonable explanation and maintained their codes were correct and it was mixed correctly. We then went to Chamberlain to compare using exact same codes and only 2 coats were required. Please do not use them for NCS paints ,you will struggle with coverage and they will not take responsibility for a failed product. Rhone who is the CEO does not return calls or reply to emails. We even went to HO directly and still no joy in resolving this even though they could see how thin their paint was in comparison. We spent close to R80k on paints for this project . They do not own up to mistakes and have very poor communication.
