The inability to take accountability
Let me start off by saying that I did a review on the vets blog 9 weeks ago, and they have yet to publish my review, so I believe I have given them enough time to put my review up. I'm guessing they have no excuses, and they don't like to make apologies, so instead, they chose to ignore me. Here is the review I gave them : The reason for my one star rating will be revealed shortly, but first I would like to address the unprofessional way in which your clients bad reviews are responded to. I have been reading through some of the reviews and I have noticed a pattern. The vets inability to take accountability. Even if I have had nothing but good experiences with this vet, just reading the responses would be enough for me to lose all respect for Ballito Vet. Every client who gives a bad review is met with nothing but hateful, hurtful comments in an attempt to deflect from the issue at hand, so that the client gets blamed for everything that has gone wrong, while also accusing the client of neglecting their pets. So, let's talk about neglect for a minute shall we, and the reason for my one star rating. My husky was not eating, her stomach was bloated and we noticed that she wasn't passing a stool, so we made an appointment and brought her in. She was diagnosed with constipation without any tests being done, and we were told that her elevated heartbeat was normal for a constipated dog. After two injections and being sent home with Laxapet, we followed the vets instructions and gave her the medication. However, the medication was not working, and by Sunday morning she still hadn't eaten and was unable to stand on her own. Because it was a Sunday and the vet has no emergency vets available, we drove her through to Ashburne Vet in Durban North, where they proceeded to do every test imaginable, including x-rays on her stomach and chest, because unlike Ballito Vet, he was concerned about her elevated heartbeat. After waiting 30 minutes, they called us in to inform us that she was NOT constipated, and that she, in fact, not only had a massive build up of gas inside her, but they also discovered that she had internal bleeding in her stomach, as well as an enlarged heart and a heart tumour. They told us that they would keep her overnight, and would send her through to Inanda Vet in the morning, as they had a team of specialists who could take a look at her and decide what would be best for her going forward. Unfortunately, we got a call on Monday morning, to inform us that she had passed away at 4am. Now, I'm not saying that if Ballito Vet had done x-rays and the full testing that Ashburne Vet had done, that my husky would still be alive, by no stretch of the imagination. However, if Ballito Vet HAD done the testing that the other vet did, then perhaps we would have been given an actual answer to the problem, instead of wasting time with medication, treating her for the wrong thing. Talk about a misdiagnosis. But who knows, maybe if we had caught the problem in time, she could very well have been alive today with the correct diagnosis and appropriate medications. Guess we will never know. I was expecting a disgusting response from the vet to negate my rating in an attempt to turn the truth around to fit their narrative. I was expecting a tongue lashing from them, calling me a "rating loser, who wants to feel important", which seems to be their go-to insult to their clients, so that people reading this wouldn't think twice about taking their beloved pets to them. But instead, they chose to ignore my review and not publish it. As I said above, the vets inability to take accountability. However, I decided that I would NOT let the threat if verbal abuse from them stop me from giving my honest review.

Took my daughter to your Springfield branch to buy her a car
Took my daughter to your Springfield branch to buy her a car. We were helped by Dale, who was absolutely incredible. He was very professional, yet he made you feel comfortable. I will definitely recommend not only We Buy Cars to others, but would also recommend that they deal with Dale at Springfield. Needless to say, we ended up getting our daughter her dream car, a Jeep Wrangler. Thank you for a wonderful experience, which truly made buying a car more interesting. :)
