Excessive Charges, Substandard Workmanship and Absence of Warranty Support
My residence is located on a slope and approximately 2km from a river, which is further down the slope. I engaged Damp Proofing Specialists to address occasional ba*****t flooding during the rainy season, which occurred whenever the ba*****t pump malfunctioned. While several companies declined the project, this company assured me of their expertise, reflected in their premium pricing. They presented detailed drawings and explanations, which convinced me to proceed with their services. The project entailed redoing all internal plasterwork in the ba*****t and reinforcing it with their specialised chemicals designed to withstand underground water pressure. However, when the work commenced, none of the experts I had initially consulted appeared. Instead, a different team, managed by a young black lad, took over. I frequently had to reiterate the agreed-upon plans to this young lad, as deviations from the original agreement were evident. Surprisingly, the job was completed rather swiftly. For reasons unknown, the team left my ba*****t pump disconnected, despite its necessity for continuous operation to manage potential groundwater table rises. I contacted the company owner, and we agreed to withhold a nominal portion of the payment until the pump was reconnected. They never returned. After several weeks, the owner unexpectedly became hostile, demanding the remaining balance. I explained that I was awaiting the pump's reconnection, as previously agreed, but he then threatened to void the warranty. Despite the unsettling racial undertones of his threats, I chose to overlook them. Subsequently, I hired my own plumber to reconnect the pump. I also settled the outstanding payment, fearing the loss of warranty after such an expensive project. Barely three months later, the ba*****t experienced flooding again. I sent multiple requests to Damp Proofing Specialists to address the issue under the warranty, but they never bothered to respond. This company's performance is deplorable, and they lie that they have fundamental understanding of ba*****t waterproofing. Through online research, I discovered that they merely plagiarise work from companies in the United States and include it in their quotations. Other professionals I consulted to assess their work concluded that nothing substantial had been done. Moisture tests consistently indicate that the walls remain damp. This company should be avoided at all costs. Their after-sales service is appalling, and they fail to fulfil their commitments. Most concerning is their demand for a substantial deposit, only to deliver substandard work. I wasted a year of potential rental income to have my ba*****t repaired, resulting in a complete financial loss.

The owner of this company is a *****. He provides you with a quote and disappears once you pay the deposit. I lost R45000 meant for solar installation. Never do business with him. Terrible after-sakes service
I was too quick to give this company a positive review. Thejr after-sales service is terrible. My battery started showing errors after 2 months. I called them, but they totally ignored me. They refused to get the battery replaced or fixed.

Marlon pools - 083 394 8856 - ******
These two chaps are daylight ******s not pool servicemen. They lie that about what the provide and leave work incomplete. I paud then 1500 to clean my pool but left it as it was. I was scared to engage them as normal chats became heated. Hire them at your own peril.

Extraordinary service. There was a loose night that was causing unbearable noise from the wheels. After two test drives, they managed to figure out the problem and fix it.

Electricians 24 Hours (0680201003) are ******
I hired this company to install a 5KVA solar system at my home. Out of the R68,000 they charged, I paid them R45,000 up front because they wanted to buy equipment. They simply vanished after that. They came to install an inverter after I threatened them with legal action, and then they vanished. When I last spoke with them, they pretended they didn't know who I was, but they promised imburse the balance from the R45,000 but never did. Please never give this company any money or work. They are ********s posing as solar installers.
