It should actually be a 0 star rating. I saw an outfit on their IG page on the 24th of May and enquired about it, telling them upfront that I required it urgently and asking if they were able to get this to me in time. They said yes and told me to pay immediately so that they can process it, which I did. I followed up a short while later and they said I will receive it by the 10th of June. On the 10th of June I realised I had not received any communication on delivery details. I sent them a message on IG to ask if I am still getting my piece on the 10th, they read it but did not reply. I tried calling 3 different numbers, sent SMS's and additional messages on IG on the 10th and the morning of the 11th, with no response or answer. Eventually someone answered my call and when I queried, they said that they will check and get back to me shortly. A short while later I receive a message on IG saying sorry, the fabric for the piece I ordered was rerouted and they offered me a piece that was a scale of 3 out of 10 in replacement of the piece I ordered, or a refund. I requested for an immediate refund, which at least was done. The wedding I am attending is this weekend and today I get told, AFTER ENQUIRING MULTIPLE TIMES, that there is an issue!!! This is extremely unprofessional and very disappointing! Had I been told earlier, I could have looked for another option in time, but now what the hell am I going to do?! Especially since Eastern wear requires stitching.... VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!! and I will never be shopping here again!
I rarely ever have a problem with takealot but with this last experience I am very dissatisfied. I ordered a Goldair heater (Order #127016662) and I got a delivery last week, which I rushed home from work for during the day. Only to find that the product was not what I ordered - it was Alva. It was a few seconds after I helped the takealot driver carry it up the stairs to my apartment. I realised this within a minute and tried calling her but she ignored my calls. I called takealot and they advised I can do the return online. I logged on, it still stated my order was out for delivery and not yet delivered. So I called takealot back, a guy answered but was chatting to someone else before assisting me. He said to me the reason why they sent a different product is probably because there was no stock of the one I wanted. So I said to him that is unacceptable because I reviewed the product I wanted thoroughly before buying it AND why did takealot not contact me if it was not available, but rather sends me something I did not order. I was very upset. Anyway he logs my return but makes no effort on how to resolve my problem. This is a major inconvenience for me as now I must go reorder and wait for it for another 2 weeks?!!!!! without a guarantee that it is what I ordered. I called back when I got the message saying it will be collected a day later, I requested that the driver comes after 4:15 as I will not be running back and forth from work for something that was not my fault. The lady said she will check if that is possible, I said it will have to be possible because I wont avail myself any other time. She sent me a confirmation email that she informed the driver. And also after explaining my issue to her, she did not give a way forward on me getting what I ordered!!!! I get a call at 12:30 from takealot saying that the driver is outside!!!! I said I told your team I am only available after 4. She said no one made a note of this..... She said she with tell the drivers. All of a sudden i get a message saying it will be collected on Monday. Yesterday went by and now it says my return is cancelled. I DID NOT CANCEL IT!!! I want the correct product that I paid for!!!!! It is my hard earned money!!!! I logged a return again last night. They sent an SMS it will be collected today. Half an hour ago I receive a call that rang for 1 second and was cut! Then an SMS came through to say I'm not available to collect when I worked from home today to ensure I'm available for this!!!!! I tried calling takealot a number of times, my call got cut a few times too. Eventually someone called me back and said they will log a manual return for me and that the driver, Faith, will come today... I am extremely angry!!!! If someone does not come today and if I do not get what I paid for, I'll be logging a complaint at the ombudsman!
1) My dads care has not been starting almost everyday. The battery shows full. However, we called matrix a few times. Today they advised that my dad take the car to the dealership and to call back when the car is there, which he did. They then told him they will get a technician asap before 2pm (as he told them he needs it then), they agreed. This was at 10am. Since then he has been trying to call and either no one answers, its the wrong department or no one can help or they cut the call. They eventually told him it takes AT LEAST 24 hours to get a technician. He tried calling again and again and his call keeps getting cut. Then I try calling and the line gets cut. I try calling the roadside assistance and they arrogantly tell me they dont deal with this and explain to me what roadside assist is like I am stupid!!! I then call again and the same lady that was "helping" my dad since the morning insisted that she did tell my dad there are currently no technicians and its currently not her problem but she did try helping. *** service is that? I asked for the technicians number to call them since she cant help anymore, she said theres no direct line for them so I said then who must I call. Then she cuts the call!!!!!! I called my dad to verify and he said she did not tell him that before he went to leave his car AND she did not tell him there was no technicians available..... Why is it so difficult for people to just do their jobs.... 2) Furthermore, Matrix has stopped sending danger area sms's and don't even call anymore.
