I love the convenience of the interactions! No long calls
I went into Automax on the 28th of April to have my car serviced. For context, I had taken my car here the previous year for a service as well and also dealt with them again in June 2022. When the car service had been complete, the sales advisor said that I need to pay cash as they do not work with WeBuyCars (Innovation Group) anymore because they take a long time to pay out. This thew me out completely but I paid thr R1800 I had not budgeted for. The next day I start my car and drive a few km out of my complex - the engine light comes on and it starts misfiring. Since it was a long weekend, I then had to pay for a diagnostic test from a mechanic which cost me 350 and I spent an additional 500 to tow my car home when it had broken down. I send Automax an email explaining what had happened and they said to bring the car back which my dad did while I was at work. I then receive an email saying they apologize for the inconvenience and that there was some part that had gotten wet during the engine cleaning they had done. They also then say that it "often happens". In addition to this, I call Innovation Group who had no records of Automax not working with them anymore. Automax now says that they moved away from Bosch and had to re-register with RMI and it was only approved on the day I queried this which was also the same day i brought my car back. Despite this, on my service report received on the 28th of April I have a massive RMI logo on it. After emailing back and forth, Automax has put through the claim but will only refund me once they get the money from Innovation Group. Despite the inconvenience caused and obvious incompetence of their staff they are unremorseful. I have called and emailed and tried my utmost to get this resolved but I would never recommend thos workshop. I'd hate for anyone to experience what I have.
