Came in to purchase a new phone and was met with a lot of condescending tone and attitude by one of the employees who was attending to us. By the end I wanted the interaction done with so I handed him my card and paid then left immediately. Will aim to go to a different Apple store in the future. Just to give more information: I have had better experiences at other stores, but I have also had worse. I travel a lot for work, and then I am a bit of a clutz, so my Apple Care comes in clutch at least once a year, but I pay for it. It seems that it is a 50/50 chance that I will have a good or bad experience depending on the store to which I go. It is weird. I will have a bad experience an hour out of Cape Town but then the best at a random iStore in some town in the middle of nowhere in Gauteng... it is a roll of the dice, I am tellin you!
Delicious plant based food! I got the Dino Kale bowl and it was excellent. Has a heat that slowly catches you. The flavors are powerful and the charcoal sauce on the side is really good too. I got the watermelon and pasion mocktail which was incredible and beautiful. The atmosphere is really nice and there is seating outside as well. Staff was friendly and attentive over the phone. I would recommend if you get the chance.
Magnolia Bakery is actually one of the reasons I visit Joburg so often but this location on this day stood out for the wrong reasons. The cupcake frosting was bizarrely overly sweet and we had to wait 10 minutes to be handed 1 cupcake. The coconut cake wasn't its perfect self. They didn't have the strawberry banana pudding they said they'd have all month. Apparently this day was the only day they chose to not serve it; lucky us. I'm assuming this was a fluke since I've had many happy fat days at Magnolia or maybe things are changing. Maybe it's the location. I'm willing to give them many more chances, though. They still have the best products by far!
I have been visiting OPenWeb's website for deals for extended family and myself since 2016, and they have yet to disappoint. I find everyone there to be professional and knowledgeable. Riaan, who no longer works there to my knowledge, was always eager to help and had provided me with all the latest products and best deals on the side. He was a great resource and advised me to get my repeters and satellites which have been lifesavers. I have never had a bad experience there and believe that both Riaan and another helpful staff memeber Dane should be commended. Good customer service is one of the most important things that any client should expect. These gentlemen go way beyond to make you a loyal customer. I wouldn’t think of going to any other wireless company because these guys have won my loyalty. I just want to say thank you! 👏🏻
One of South Africa's best hotels with exceptional staff who really strive to make your stay wonderful. This is an extremely adult-friendly hotel and beats the One and Only in price tenfold! If you're planning to go to Cape Town, then you'll be inclined to stay in the resort for a weekend stay rather than to go out so I suggest that you try their lovely breakfast buffet. I was disappointed to see that they do not have a dinner buffet because I am sure that they would knock it out of the ballpark! So breakfast is a must, once again amazing service and breath taking views of the city depending on the room you get. My only con is that they do not have on-site parking. You have to trust a valet to take your car, and then they are not liable for scratches or dents... my Range Rover's rim got scratched. No biggie, but I would have preferred to park her myself. You also have to rive everywhere because it is not exactly close to hot spots like the V&A, but that is South Africa for you. I still highly recommend it over all else.
Had a decent experience just the other day. The waiter was calling us babes the entire time which was honestly kind of funny. He was obviously *** and gave some pretty good small talk that my girlfriends and I appreciated. The fish was not well-done like we asked, so we had to call the manager who took it back and re-cooked it. Hey, it was really good the second time around, but I was not impressed. I will have to give them a second chance, I think. Props to the great service, but I do not know about the food.
I came from Cape Town for Work in Durban and had a hankering for some Mcdonalds. It has been a few years since I tried it (probably closer to a decade), so I thought that I would give it a go. I do not eat out often. I have gotta say that this is the worst service I've ever received ANYWHERE! First, they got the order completely wrong when I went through the drive-through. Once at the at the collect window, they told us that they don't have what we ordered and then rudely asked what we would like to have instead without any apology (it was not busy, so I do not know why they were so lazy). I agreed to get something else as we did not have the energy left to argue and were very tired after work. So we then get to our accommodation (shame on us for not checking) to find out we got a complete different order. This pathetic! They should rather close down in KZN and anywhere else where the service and food is so atrocious if the sipho's can't do the job correctly! The food was undercooked and soggy. I was so disgusted that I just had to trash it and get some room service.
The Burger King at my local town is always so busy. After much deliberation, we decided to give it a try as take away. First of all, the waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable about their products, but I think that this was more so the person and less so the business responsible for the good service, so thank you Jolandi. The food was actually really good, too. I tried the plant based burger, and to my surprise, it was so yummy and served with their vegan mayo. Their snacks are delicious. Their burgers come as combo meals with a drink and chips. If you are a vegan, you have to give the plant based burger a try, you wont be disappointed! I have tried BK in the United States when on vacation, and it was really good. I was worried that they might mess it up here, but I was not too disappointed! Of course there were small nuances like a limited selection of soda, but other than that, I am very happy with it. I will definitely be going back!
I waited quite some time for Netcash to come up with a competitive service to improve upon DirectDebit's mediocre debit order mandate system, and they failed. Not only is it more difficult to get a debit order set up (extremely cumbersome) and is very badly written. Their developers DEFINITELY do not know what they are doing. It also does not work. The point of a debit order mandate is to make it so that clients cannot f*ck you up the *rse by simply reversing their debit order (a ridiculous allowance that no developed country has by the way), but Netcash does not allow this. They do not even have a system through which one can report ***** or lack of payment. This country, the ANC, and Netcash do not take theft seriously.
