Before I begin, note that this has been sent to Thandekile Ngema via phone call and email (Call reference : 1-63538465663) at the MTN ***** department with no response from her or her supervisor/manager. See emails from and to her attached. The below is a clear and unequivocal breach in MTN's protection of my personal information and as such a full and thorough investigation needs to be initiated into MTN staff and/or its contractors having access to clients personal information without their permission, and in this case changing of that personal information without any consent. I cannot understand how any of MTN's systems and processes relating to their employees or contractors access pass internal or external audit procedures or are remotely compliant. This being said, please see the incident below: On Monday 13th April 2026 a call was received from 083 459 5420 at 08h20 in the morning. The person asked if I wanted to upgrade a contract on my profile and I said no and I then subsequently put the phone down. There was no other interaction with this person. No security checks etc, you may check the call recording. To my surprise at 08h25 I received an email from MTN stating that I had been successfully verified. Two minutes later at 08h27 I received another email stating that my email and phone number had been changed. (see emails attached) I then called the MTN ***** department (083 123 4357) at 08h35 and spoke to Thandekile for 28 minutes, who could not help me and said I need to go to an MTN branch to fix this. She said her supervisor would call me back and after I insisted she sent me an email with a reference number, but as I have come to expect from MTN this supervisor calling back does not happen. Thandekile also refuse to give me here supervisors name, refer to the recorded call. Noting this was now a serious issue, as ***** could be committed on my account, I then had to take a half day's leave from work and went to the MTN at Clearwater Mall. At approximately 09h30 the gentleman at MTN Clearwater proceeded to help me. We then discovered that almost all of my details where changed. My marriage status, salary, address, school standard passed etc. (See screenshot attached). I've tried to subsequently get hold of Thandekile to see if the MTN ***** department has investigated the issue, there is no response. To those herein that are copied, this is a clear breach of MTN's customers personal information and their rights attached thereto being breached. The POPI act is a farce in the realm of MTN and its systems. MTN employees or its contractors which is very worrying are able to access my personal information and change it at anytime, and it looks like there are no repercussions. Having to take time off and go to an MTN branch to resolve what is clearly an issue with MTN's systems and processes should not be something I pay for. Should this current audience not be the people I need to talk to about this, I am more than happy to escalate to ICASA, MTN Board of Directors, the Public Investment Corporation, prominent newspapers and the States Attorney who I know will be interested in hearing about just how easy it is for MTN employees and their contractors can access personal information and change it, thereby rendering the POPI Act moot. I will proceed as above should I not hear from you by 12h00, this Friday 24th April 2026.
Piza e vino in Eagles landing is moonlighting as mac n rib. You can only order from Mac n rib on Uber eats, paying inflated prices. Cannot place order and collect. Piza e vino prepares the Mac n rib menu for Uber eats only. If you have any issues with Mac n rib orders over Uber eats they cannot help you. An absolute *******, will not be supporting either Piza e vino or Mac n rib henceforth!
