Healing Hills Psychiatric Hospital's catering ability is rather poor. The is very little in variety. The quality and quantity is inconsistent. They door not cater for diabetic and hypertensive patients. My glucose and blood preasure levels have been fluctuating since being in this hospital. There are no comfortable lounge areas to relax. If you're looking for gym, breathing or relaxation activities, you're not going to find it here. There are no recreational programme's during the weekend. There are only two nursing staff for 23 patients. I'm curious to know if they have suffient knowledge in psychiatric are. The people who have been employed to clean the hospital seem to also prepare our meals as well. This may be contributing to the inconsistency in food quality. There also seems to be friction between the ome of the patients and certain nursing staff. I would not recommend this facility to anyone
The quality and quantity of the food is very inconsistent. This facility does not cater for diabetic patients. You are forced to eat what they give you. My glucose and blood preasure levels stay consistently high. There are only two nursing staff seeing to 23 patients. I'm not sure if they have sufficient training in Psychiatric care. A particular medical staff is quite rude with some of the patients. This facility does not have couches like St Joseph's and Akiso hospital where one can relax. There are no breathing and relaxation programmes The same cleaning staff is also used to prepare meals for the patients. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone who is looking to come to Healing Hills Psychiatric Hospital
I was in K ward of life Westville Hospital. The management did nothing about the aircons. We suffered as patients under extreme cold conditions. The food for diabetics is severely limited and of poor condition. They have just one ent specialist who did absolutely nothing to help me with my vertigo. He kept coming up with different hopeless ideas on how he would address the vertigo. A waste of my medical aid. The standard of this hospital has gone worse over the years. I would not recommend this hospital or their ent specialist to anyone who is suffering with severe vertigo.
