BAD BAD BAD. I wanted to buy a second hand vehicle from Suzuki Northcliff. When I saw the vehicle being advertised I contacted the dealership and spoke to a sales person called Sam on Monday 3 July 2023. He said he will get back to me after making sure the vehicle is still available. Needless to say, he didn't come back. So I phoned again on Tuesday 04 July 2023 and this time spoke to Tapfuma, who was very helpful and confirmed that the vehicle was still available and informed me that I can but a R5000 hold deposit on the vehicle, which I did pay. Then Sam got back in the picture and and requested the normal details, which I have provided him on Tuesday with. I then asked them for a formal quote which I received late Tuesday. All well so far, but the best is yet to come. I arranged for my finance with my bank. Did inform Sam that I had the finance, not once did he ask me for a finance letter from the bank. Friday 07 July 2023 he asked me via e-mail if I received the updated quote, to which I confirmed. Now I stay in the East Rand, Northcliff is not just around the corner. Saturday morning early we tackled the highways to Northcliff Suzuki, just to get there and find that the sales person I dealt with, was not in at all. I then spoke to the Sales Manager Koos van Blerk and he told me that they where suppose to contact me on Friday and told me that the vehicle was sold. So why did I then pay a R5000 holding deposit, one would ask. Well I was told that the holding deposit only secure the vehicle for 48 hours. As if I should have known this. This was not communicated to me by either the sales person Sam nor the sales manager Koos, when he contacted me during the week regarding the vehicle. So here I am in Northcliff, no car to buy. Furious was not even a word I could described myself with. The sales manager told me he will get something for me, just give him time till Tuesday. Also I was promised that the sales person would send a formal mail to apologize (don't hold your breath, that never happened) Oh now it is Wednesday and guess what. NO communication from the sales manager. After I messaged I got a reply that he has a vehicle and he will let me know when it comes in. Wednesday afternoon I asked what is going on and if I should ask for my R5000 back. Well after waiting and waiting I eventually told them on Thursday afternoon that I would like to have my money back, especially as they give one such a good service It is Friday afternoon and the sales person Sam contacted me and asked me for my bank details. Well I send it the day before to the sales manager. (Absolutely no communication in that branch). If you want to buy a second hand vehicle I would definitely NOT recommend Suzuki Northcliff
