Sotheby’s Randburg Branch: MD: Cobus Odendaal – Rude and Unprofessional
From the bad experience I had with 2 agents at Sotheby’s Randburg I turned to social media and eventually got some assistance. I got his details sent him a message and had to follow-up with the call he promised. He apologized on behalf on the Agents and agreed they did not do their duties or handle the situation correctly. I sent everything to him as requested and he was going to make a suggestion on the Monday. I had to follow-up again, he then goes off at me, not allowing me to talk, he forgot what he committed to yet goes off. After that he did nothing. When the transfer attorney’s were working on the letter, I said I would like an update for my lawyer and also not to forget about the Agents as they too need to be held responsible, he then carried on and on wanting my lawyers details, like testing me. He needs to learn people and communication skills and to just listen, extremely rude, disrespectful man.

Sotheby’s Randburg Branch: Agents Jenni Jacobs and Shaun not recommended at all!
I will continue to express the unprofessional experience I got from Jenni and her partner Shaun who I met once and never had any other interaction with. I had to contact her for the Transfer Attorney details, then they called me they didn’t get the go ahead from Sotheby’s so had to deal with it to. After registration, I got the keys there was no inspection at all, she handed me a bunch of keys and left. Said she would be back the next week with my welcome gift and that never happened, this was February 2023. Almost 7 months and still battling with all the issues at this property. The Property Disclosure did not have 1 issue, when I told her she said I’m so sorry but she can’t deal with it I must deal with the Transfer Attorneys. I also had to get the Electrical and Gas CoC myself and both were not compliant, again no help had to do everything on my own. They had keys to this property for viewing, yet all doors and security gates are faulty or not working. They both did not know or even do their job correctly, no compassion. AS long as they got their money that is all that matters to them. I will never ever recommend Sotheby's and will continue to warn everyone. STAY AWAY
