@BogartManSA I would like to express my disappointment with the MOA store for bad customer care I got today when exchanging a jacket that I purchased in Mthatha. MOA realised tht there ws a mistake made by th person in Mthatha whch made MOA unable to do do th exchange I wanted.The lady in Mthatha charged for a T-shirt which cost R4300 instead of the jacket I bought which is R4500. Now I had to exchange the jacket at MOA due to the size. When I got there they realised the lady made the above mistake and said they couldn’t help with the exchanged. The only way they could exchange was if I paid the difference of R190 directly to the Mthatha lady. This I found quite strange as I was more than happy to make the payment at the store. They told me if my bank app was not working I should go queue in the atm. …so that I deposit the money to the lady in Mthatha who made the mistake as this is “not their problem”. I could have just left with my purchase or ask them to refund everything because of the inconvenience they were happy to subject me to. Mall of Africa should do better!!!! The worst part is that when I finally got exchange after going up and down paying the 190 different MOA store did not even give me a slip they said they would send it!! If this is how you treat customers after spending 2000 rand short of 10 000 you don’t deserve my family’s support!
I bought a dress at the Space in mall of Africa by designer Colleen Eitzen, and only wore it once and it tore as a sat on my car back from an event. I took the dress back to the store to get an exchange or refund and was told to come back as the store manager has to discuss with you the designer regarding the damaged dress. I received the below reply from the store and I am not happy. This is a very disappointing experience. “Good Afternoon Anathi Hope you are well. First I would like to apologise for sending a message but I have tried to call to no avail. Please note that as per our conversation, when you were last in the store, the designer has assessed the damaged dress as per the procedure. Unfortunately, the designer Colleen Eitzen, will not be repairing the damaged dress as per the assessment. The fabric was not damaged due to factory fault, the issue was the sizing which was small and caused the dress to be torn. King regards Charmaine Masuku Store Manager The Space Mall of Africa” I subsequently sent a query to the mentioned designer and was completely ignored by her till this day. The message was sent in June 09 2023. The dress costed me over R1500. I am very disappointed with this dress, The Space at mall of Africa as well as the designer for their extremely poor service.
