It would be wise to check-out the reviews of this company on google as well. the company is not very professional in my opinion. From inaccurate statements to poor service. I contracted these guys to help with a case, I was promised the world and still not had delivery on resolution. I met the representative who advised telephonically that a meeting would cost around R2000, however was billed closer to R4000. I was told that my case would cost around R20,000 and that my account would be capped , this is not the case as it is closer to R40,000. I paid my account & still i get statements of amounts owing. I requested a recon of my account however it is still not accurate, I provided proof of payments however no response from the accounts department nor Emma on any rectification of the account. Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. stay away IMO.
I purchased a battery from Midas Viking branch in Aug 2020 however the battery went flat, I took the Battery to Taurus (a Sabat distributor/reseller) for a test and charging. Test came back that the battery has a dead cell. I contacted Midas however they refused to replace the battery as their testing unit indicates that the battery was in good condition however needs a charge. ???? I contacted Sabat head office to Which Karabo replied via email and a technician came through to test the battery. I showed him the test slips from the Midas Viking store which indicated that battery was in good order/condition as well as the results from Taurus Battery in Lenasia indicating that it is not holding charge. He tested the battery & confirmed that it needed to be replaced due to a dead cell. In summary, 1. I purchased a Sabat battery from Sabat distributors/resellers (Midas Viking). 2. I tested and charged the battery at Sabat distributors/resellers (Taurus Battery Lenasia) I took before and after pics of my battery, it seems some filing/cleaning was done on the terminals. I advised the tech that the car has standard clamps to attach the battery and therefore have to force the clamp onto the terminals. 3. I attempted an exchange as per the warranty of a dead cell within the 25 month period from Midas Viking, they refused 4. I attempted an exchange as per the warranty (as per the techy) of a dead cell within the 24 month period with the test slip from the techy from Midas Golden h/way -Kiasha park, they refused So I have purchased, tested & charged the battery through Sabat distributors and all declined to provide assistance. I have escalated my complaint of Midas to the head office as well, no resolution yet. Rather spend a few extra Rands & go with a company that stands behind their product & warranty.
