Omar from Sabat to the rescue!
Sabat Batteries ( Eastern Cape- PE office) Feedback on Service – Omar & Supa Quick Port Alfred / Concern About Parts Man Motorspares I would like to thank Omar, the SABAT representative, for his excellent and professional service, as well as Supa Quick Port Alfred for handling my warranty claim correctly and efficiently. My SABAT battery failed and a Midtronics test clearly showed “REPLACE BATTERY” with a measured 159 CCA on a 590 CCA battery, indicating internal failure. I first went to Parts Man Motorspares, where I originally purchased the battery. Despite the test result, they refused to replace the battery, insisted it should just be “charged”, and refused my request to contact the SABAT rep. Because of this, I decided to contact SABAT’s regional office myself. The office assistant was very professional and helpful and provided me with Omar’s contact number. From that point everything changed. Omar was professional from the word go. He immediately took ownership of the situation, phoned Supa Quick Port Alfred, and by the time I arrived there the replacement battery was already arranged. Supa Quick performed their own battery test, which again confirmed internal failure, and the battery was swapped under warranty without any hassle. This is exactly the kind of service that builds confidence in the SABAT brand. Thank you to Omar, the regional office assistant, and the Supa Quick Port Alfred team. However, I am seriously concerned about the conduct of Parts Man Motorspares. Their: refusal to accept a clear “REPLACE BATTERY” test result, insistence on “charging” a failed battery, and refusal to even contact the SABAT rep when asked show a lack of understanding of battery diagnostics and SABAT’s warranty process. This not only wastes customers’ time and money, but also risks damaging the SABAT brand. I strongly recommend that Parts Man Motorspares either receives proper training on SABAT/First National Battery warranty procedures, or that their status as an official SABAT stockist is reconsidered to prevent future harm to your brand reputation. Once again, thank you to Omar and Supa Quick Port Alfred for resolving the matter quickly and professionally.

Great service and saved our weekend
We were so excited for a weekend away at the dam, but our Sea-Doo Spark would not start because the battery was finished. We found the nearest SabatXpress store and they helped us immediately. The team knew exactly what we needed and had us back on the water in no time. Thank you for the fast, friendly service. You saved our weekend.

I don't know who needs to hear this but,2 months back I saw an advert about sabat battery,that was 50%discount,I made an online payment,and that's when my money was vanished in thin air,my worry is how many people were ****** for their hard earned money by those ********s ,and I wonder if sabat battery seller does know anything about it,and what did they do fix the tarnishing of their name and reputation.

**** website. there is a **** Sabat batteries website sabatonline.co.za from which i order a battery due to it having a 50% promotion. The verified the website is secure by it's website https://sabatonline.co.za/ but now you can't even trust secure websites I did some digging after I discovered it is **** website and discovered that website is hosted by shopify. When I placed order I got confirmation email with order number and everything. I contacted sabat batteries after I tried to get the contact number from the **** website but it just returned error page not found. Sabat batteries informed me that they don't do online sales and that they are aware of this **** website that they closed several times, but a new one is created.

False advertising
We urgently needed a car battery and opted to use AutoX’s online delivery and fitment service, expecting a smooth and reliable experience. During the process, we specifically requested to be contacted via mobile. Unfortunately, all we received was a generic SMS, followed by a flood of emails—none of which helped in the moment. We were left completely stranded until a friend eventually came to our aid. I genuinely believed AutoX was South Africa’s leading battery provider, but this experience has proven otherwise. Sadly, this will be the last time we rely on either Willard or Sabat batteries.

Terrible after sales service, no accountability.
I bought a battery on the 3/06/25 from the SABAT Batteries in Halfway House Midrand, and as soon as they fitted the battery my car went into Limp Mode; I drove to the outlet with my vehicle fully operational, and when I was driving off I noticed that it had no power, the technician said that there is no way is has anything to do with them. So I tried to drive the car thinking it would left correct, 500m down the road I pulled over and called them to come test the battery to make sure they gave me the right battery for my car. The lady I spoke to was dismissive and basically told me that this has nothing to do with them and that they wouldnt be coming out to check if it was the right battery. I had to organise the tow truck to get my car and take it to an auto electrician.

Last year august we bought a sabat battery at nafcoc sosh spares in soshanguve, less than a year later the battery seized working, I then took it upon myself to take it back as it has a 1 year warranty, nafcoc sosh spares then gave me a loan battery citing that a sabat batteries rep will come and check out the battery so that we can know what is the problem, even the loan battery stopped working and the said sabat batteries rep hasn't been to them to check the batteries out, it has been 2 weeks of waiting and getting no recourse,as a result I am struggling to make ends meet , as I am stuck without a battery. Sabat batteries kindly come to our rescue!!!!
