This morning i was humiliated and embarrassed at Atterbury Value Mart Mugg and Bean: My daughter sent me a birthday complimentary voucher from Mugg and Bean. The voucher included free Cappuccino and a Slice of cake of my choice. This morning, 12 October 2023 around 08:30 i went to Atterbury Mugg and Bean to claim the voucher. I met two waitresses outside the store and explained the whole thing to them. I then walked in with the other waitress into the store and asked me which cake i would prefer, i said chocolate cake. The order was then placed with the kitchen. She then asked me to check my phone then i showed her the screenshots of the voucher on my phone. She disputed and said that they dont allow screenshot and asked me who is going to pay for the order? I told her i dont have money on me and will come pay tomorrow and they can keep the coffee and cake and my licence as surety. I asked if i can speak to the Manager, she said the Manager is on leave i then said give me his/her number so that i can talk to her as this was first time claiming this. The other lady then said she must go talk to the owner who was sitting in the office. The waitress went there and spoke to the owner and i dont know what she told the owner. The owner came and said i must leave his store immediately without even having to explain my side of the story. I tried to speak again for the second time and he commanded me to leave the store. I was so humiliated and disrespected by this restaurant. Then i walked out in peace with the owner standing there. My thinking is that hear both sides of the story before you can chase the customer out. I also think that the procedure should be , verify the voucher or QR code before an order can be placed to avoid this kind of thing to happen again. I will never ever take my family or recommend anyone to go to that Mugg and Bean ever !!!
