NEVER EVER BUY FROM Pick n Pay ASAP. We had the most terrible experience with them now as a result of their app not functioning. We put in an order at 18:12 tonight and they automatically allocated our order to a store that closes at 18:15 (even though there are stores that are open until later). The app stated that we’ll get our order at 19:00. Then it refreshed at 19:00 saying that we’ll only get it at 19:30, refreshing again and stating we’ll only receive it at 20:00. By this time we were becoming worried. After that we called the customer service line and stayed on the line for 15 minutes until someone picked up. Only then we heard that our order will only be delivered the following morning because the store they allocated the order to had closed. We had no food and thus had to cancel our order in order to rather go to a more reliable retailer, but then they said that we will only get the amount back on the app and without the delivery fee that we already incurred. Thus, without it being our fault, we sat without food but were forced to pay the delivery fee because their system was faulty. Definitely my last time ordering food at PicknPay (since the last time I also got **** eyelashes in processed meat I bought from them). Definitely will use Checkers 60/60 from now on.
I had a very bad experience with this company. Firstly, they quoted us R1400 for the move, then, when they loaded everything and got transported it to the location we requested, they updated the quote to R1800 and said that if we don’t pay the excess R400 in cash at that moment, they will not unload their truck. Thus, while I was working, I had to make arrangements to withdraw cash and take it to them and they did not want to accept EFT. Even though we already gave them the quoted R1400 in cash. After all of that, they were extremely unpleasant and rude throughout the whole process, not trying to make anything easier. And an item of R1500 of mine was not even delivered and they just state “we’re not responsible if anything gets lost in the move”, which I think is very poor service. Thus, in effect, I then paid R3300 for a quote that was R1400. Do not use this company.
I had an awful experience with Pick ‘n Pay in Camps Bay. I bought a pack of boerewors yesterday and when I ate it, I found **** eyelashes in it. I was utterly disappointed. Do not buy meat from Pick ‘n Pay!
