I bought a pre-owned Volvo XC60 at Volvo Tom Camper Aucklandpark in April 2023. I fetched the car around end of April 2023 from this dealership. On my way home, the car started to show a red engine light. I called Willie, the Salesman there reporting this fault. He said I need to bring the car in the following day of which I did. It took few minutes to come back to me and he informed me that the car should be fine. The following 2 weeks, the same car started to show the same red engine sign light. I called him and sent him the photos via the email. He said I need to bring it in and they will take it to the workshop. I did and it took a while to come back to me with their Technician whoc said some technical stuff but in summary the car should be fine. I drove the car for couple of weeks and it started to show the same red light on the engine sign. I decided to take the car to Volvo Fourways. They took the car to their workshop and the following day they came back to me with a diagnosis and the Innovation Claim approval. I informed Volvo Forways not to fix the car since I intend to take it back to Volvo Tom Camper where I bought it like that. I did approach Volvo Tom Camper and Willie advised that I take the car in for the workshop. I did take the car to Volvo Tom Camper on 21 September 2021 and till today, 15 October 2023 I have not received my car. they keep on sending me all over with lame excuses. Manier times they email me about the same thing to test the vehicle on a long drive which its not even something to ask me how to fix the car they sold. In this mess, they also pretended for weeks they cant see anything wrong with the car. I kept on referring them to the diagnosis done by Vovlo Fourways. They denied seeing the email until they found the copy I sent to them. I am getting stupid calls from them asking me about the same thing and apologising for the inconvenience. This is due to them making a decision not to respond to my emails. My husband has tried to contact them countless times to no avail. Last week Tuesday, they sent me a whatsapp message that the car is going in the workshop on Thursday, 12 October 2023. Today I am seeing insurance claim of R12k approved. No one informed me that they will claim from my insurance to fix the mess that was there when I bought the car. These people have caused us a great deal of inconvenience. What they did is ********* and they are ruining a great Volvo reputation. I have the utmost respect for Volvo Fourways and this tom Camper dealership is just a mess and ****** in my view.
