I would like to give them 10 stars if I could! We have a rented car and made a little scratch. Two local panel beaters gave us a quote, one wanted R7000.00 to patch it up, the other R10,000.00. A Toyota service man couldn’t believe these high quotes for that little damage and sent us to Classic Panel Beaters in Pinetown. Just one glance, 2 men at work and after 10 minutes it was all done! AND, they didn’t charge us anything, didn’t even accept a tip – unbelievable! We are an elderly couple and foreigners, the first two companies probably thought just let them ******* a little bit. We are for ever thankful for how Classic Panel Beaters in Pinetown treated us and can only recommend them from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!
I received an invoice April 2023, paid a few days later! Since then, I regularly get reminders to pay the bill. I sent them a bank statement, which shows clearly the paid amount and the reference number, the harassment continued till today. Now they even instructed Debt Collections SCS to get me to pay an invoice I paid almost a year ago. How crazy is this company, resp. how disorganized is their book keeping department? Reading all the other reviews, I am obviously not the only one who is treated and bul**** this way. Never in my whole live will I have anything to do with this company!
Save your nerves - don't book! We were a loyal customer to the Hertz Durban Airport Branch for years. Every time we have been in South Africa we rented a car for 5 – 6 months. Last year already I noticed a few dubious direct debits from my husbands credit card, they gave me some explanations,which I did not really understand, it was a few hundred Rands, but back in Germany I forgot about it. This year, in accordance with our flight schedule, we booked a car from 10.2. – 7.5.23, the booking confirmation with the total amount was received 7.2.23. As my suspiciousness was awoken, I took a closer look to the credit card charges early in time. Right on the 10.2. they took the total amount for the 2 months and 27 days of R30,100.00. To my surprise on 13.3. they took another R8,000.00. After more than 50 email exchanges I still don´t know for what it is. The explanation “At the time you informed the branch you want a 3month rental, they explained and the total of the 3month rental costed R38100.00 in total.” makes no sense. Full 3 months rental would be cheaper and not more expansive. Why should we have asked for 3month rental when our flight schedule was for 87 days??? Since we informed the credit card company of this unjustified charge and they retrieved it, we are being bul**** by their lawyer and by GL Attorneys – a debt collecting agency – almost weekly. They even sent one reminder with my name to the cell phone of one of our friends in South Africa. I wonder how they got their number. When we are back in South Africa we will sue them for harassment and accusation.
