For the last 4 days the link between my Sage and FNB has been down. This is essential for my business to operate as it kicks off many processes. I have spent a lot of time with Sage and FNB and none are able to give me answers as to when I can expect feedback on this. I cannot be down for 4 days because of this issue with the standard response of "We are aware of the issue and working on the solution". When asking for an ETA on feedback "we are unable to give you an ETA at this moment"
Sage HR & Payroll Ever since signing up for this product I have had constant problems either with the Payroll or the HR system which causes a great deal of stress and additional work on my side. The answer I always get is when logging a ticket is that the specialist team is looking in to it ... The list of issues is endless: 1. System not calculating leave days correctly - I had an open ticket on this for at least 6 months and then ended up having to do manual calculations and correct every single staff members leave - a whole year later and the system continue to do the same thing despite many emails of which I am being completely ignored now 2. DOL submissions - each and every month before the 7th I do my UIF submission on the system under the assumption that it is getting to the DOL - I now have a staff member trying to claim UIF and no submissions can be seen on DOL. 2 weeks later and I still have no response 3. Payroll - the system randomly changed the tax start date and then the tax calculation is now incorrect. I have been told to manually change the tax start date for ALL my employees - which I have tried, however the system does not allow me to save my changes. The result - I cannot process my payroll as my employees are being taxed double for the month. I rely on the system to accurately calculate the tax. Now my employees will not be paid on time?
This is specifically related to the SAGE HR & PAYROLL System: 1. Since 01.03.2025 I have reported issues on our leave system as staff had enormous amounts of leave suddenly. To date (more than 8 weeks later) the only responses I have really received is that there was a "bug" in the system and the technical team is looking into resolving this. This means I have manually had to reconcile all my staffs leave balances for audit purposes. In the meantime I have also had staff that have left and I have had to payout leave the days of which were highly inflated on the system which we should be able to trust. Again no resolution from Sage. I have now also had staff that have gone into negative days balance which is against company policy, however as the system has incorrect days the system allows them to do so. We are paying for this system however we have had to return to a manual leave system. 2. The system is meant to post payslips into the staffs logins so that they can download their payslips, this has also not worked since Feb 2025 and more than 8 weeks later this is not resolved either. A system that was sold to me to rely on for "automated leave" has not worked for 8 weeks and has caused increased workload on my side.... I had an existing payroll system that worked.
Absolutely no service at all. We are a prepaid customer and our prepaid customer interface unit is apparently faulty... We have now had no electricity for over 56 hours. We constantly phone Eskom and after at least 2 hours being on hold and "apparently" first in line (My husband literally flew from Joburg to Cape Town faster than Eskom answered their phones. The phone has been put down on me twice and each person I get gives a different answer and my matter has also always been "escalated" we have been promised that it will be sorted on many occasions and yet here we go into our second night in the darkness with absolutely no hope that a resolution is anywhere in site. This service is absolutely USELESS and I cannot believe this is the entity that provide electricity nationally to South Africa! I have never in my life experience such an appalling level of service and they do not even care how much money, time and inconvience this has caused!
We moved onto the new Sage HR and payroll system and the support is shocking. I have not yet been able to close off my April payroll due to a technical issue, staff have not yet receive payslips, they advertise that it is automated however I have had to do everything manually this month costing me time and now worst of all SARS returns are due today and I still cannot close off my payroll which means that I will be non compliant, incur penalties and yet I still after 2 full weeks of following up daily do not have a resolution and cannot close off my payroll.
Absolutely terrible experience dealing with this company. They are apparently the managing agents on our Home Owners Association but fail to give any feedback on reasons for backdating a levy increase for 11 months with absolutely no communication to any members. We are in the process of selling and they will not sign off the sale until we have paid this "arrears" amount, even though my current statement of account reflects a NIL amount due to them. Requests for the communication of this increase to the members, list of committee members, minutes of meetings, financials are all completely ignored and all we are told is this is an estimated levy increase that will be backdated until March 2023.
