I placed an order on The Gadget Shop SA (thegadgetshopsa.co.za) on 6 February and made a payment via EFT, as it was the only option available. After making payment, I received no confirmation and no response to my emails or phone calls. After looking further into this business, I found that many other customers had similar experiences: making payments but never receiving their goods. There are numerous complaints about this store failing to fulfill orders, with customers unable to get any assistance after payment. What You Need to Know Before Ordering: - The only payment option is EFT, meaning no buyer protection or refunds if something goes wrong. - Once payment is made, communication stops, and items are not delivered. - Attempts to reach the store via email and phone have gone unanswered. I am sharing this review to help others make an informed decision before purchasing. Always research a store thoroughly before making a payment, especially if EFT is the only payment option available.
I was ****med by The Gadget Shop SA (thegadgetshopsa.co.za). I purchased a router for R3,999 via EFT, as it was the only payment option available. After making payment, I received no confirmation, and no response from their listed contacts. Feeling suspicious, I looked them up and found multiple complaints from other people who had also been ****med—paying for items that were never delivered. This website is *****ulent and is actively deceiving customers. If You’ve Been ****med, Take These Steps Immediately: 1. Report the ***** to your bank as soon as possible – Contact your bank and provide them with the details of your transaction. 2. If you paid via EFT, request that they flag the recipient's account for ***** and attempt a reversal (though success depends on how quickly you act). 3. Open a case with SAPS (South African Police Service) – Go to your nearest police station and file a ***** case. You will need to provide proof of payment, order details, and stamped transaction or bank statement. 4. Get an affidavit and case number – Your bank may require these documents before taking further action on your case. 5. Report the website to ZARC (ZA Registry Consortium) – Since the website uses a .co.za domain, you can request that it be taken down by reporting it to ZARC under their Anti-Abuse and Takedown Policy.
We inquired about this gym, and from that point on, we received relentless calls every single day urging us to sign up. Eventually, my wife decided to visit the facilities. After her visit, she was still uncertain and asked for some time to think it over. The sales rep agreed but insisted she fill out a form, claiming it would expedite the process if we decided to join later. My wife comp****, but she contacted them the next day to inform them that she had decided not to proceed with the application. Despite this, the sales rep, Dudu, went ahead and processed the membership without our consent or knowledge. We only found out we had been enrolled after a debit order was processed. Planet Fitness has completely lost our trust, and I would never recommend this gym due to what I consider ********* and borderline ******** behavior. Our complaint is on record with reference number 215259. We demand a full refund of the unauthorized debit order and a formal apology from Dudu for her dishonest tactics. I'm deeply disappointed—shame on you, Planet Fitness!
Anyone who has gone through a crime in South Africa will tell you what a lonely experience it can be, especially with our ever-failing justice system where bad guys roam the streets freely. I had a theft incident at my home, and after getting no help from the police and the security from my estate, I am so glad I was insured by Discovery. I will not be able to replace the sentimental value of the items ****** but I am glad that I have the opportunity to pick up the pieces and start again with my family. Thank you, Dustin Africa, who helped me with my claim. You were the only light in a very dark time in our lives.
I am compelled to share my deeply troubling experience with Inspired Management, which oversees Cedar Acres Estate in Fourways. Following a theft incident at my apartment, I encountered significant challenges in obtaining essential security footage, which was crucial for a police investigation. Despite multiple requests starting on April 10, 2024, the management, including the Senior Portfolio Manager, failed to respond timely and effectively. Efforts to engage both the estate manager and other relevant personnel from the security company, TRM Security, proved unproductive. I was informed that TRM Security could release footage only under instructions from the estate manager, instructions that never came. This lack of action and cooperation has not only led to the closure of my case due to insufficient evidence but has also highlighted severe negligence towards resident safety and security concerns. The management's indifference and obstructive behaviour have left me deeply concerned about the overall governance and safety standards upheld at Cedar Acres Estate. This experience has diminished my trust in Inspired Management's capability to safeguard its residents or effectively manage serious issues.
I regret using Joburg Fertility Centre, and I would not recommend them even to my worst enemy. The administration and receptionist services at Joburg Fertility Centre are by far the poorest, I have experienced. Throughout our pregnancy journey, my partner and I found ourselves in a constant state of follow-up to receive even basic necessities, such as pictures from our ultrasound sessions. On one occasion, we even received another patient's ultrasound images, raising significant concerns about patient confidentiality. Furthermore, the doctor's ultrasound equipment at Joburg Fertility Centre was outdated and produced blurry images. To make matters worse, they never provided printed pictures; we had to persistently follow up to receive emailed copies. Secondly, the doctor himself was not significantly involved in our care. During each visit, the doctor's role seemed limited to performing an ultrasound, and yet, we noticed discrepancies in the consultation fees despite every consultation being identical. I asked for our full medical statement to investigate, and there was R550 credit to my account. Which Dr. Moioi has not refunded since October 25 2023. Regrettably, Dr. Moloi could not provide the guidance and advice we needed during our pregnancy journey. It often felt like we had to initiate conversations about our test results and the progress of our pregnancy. When we decided to seek care elsewhere, the challenges continued at Joburg Fertility Centre. Obtaining a referral with our medical records and reports proved impossible. Despite multiple attempts, we faced significant delays and ultimately received a referral that was unusable with no medical records. I could go on and on about the lack of compassion and greed, but I will summarise by saying this medical facility - if we can still even call it that- is only interested in money.
