On 9 June 2023 I paid an amount of R12 681,05 for a new alarm system to be installed by Fox. After fighting and Fox providing 101 excuses, they only installed the system on 14 Aug 2023 (2 MONTHS after receiving payment). From day one the system has not worked properly (alarm going off with a “tampering message”). On 18 Nov 2023 the radio stopped working completely and same was reported to Fox. On 20 Nov 2023 the first technician arrived to try sort out the problem. He replaced the radio and said the cellular port on the board is faulty. On looking at the date on the board (15 Jul 2022) it is quite obvious that Fox installed an old faulty board to begin with (if it was a new board Fox would have recourse against their supplier). My quotation clearly states “Six months guarantee on parts used”. Since the system is less than 6 months old Fox is liable to replace the board however they choose to send out technician after technician who have all said the board is faulty instead of just replacing the board. Ironically, Fox who is supposed to uphold the ends of justice and being “peace officers” also had the audacity to suggest that I claim from my homeowner’s insurance for something that is still under guarantee – it is a ******** offence to make false insurance claims! Today 13 Dec 2023 they were supposed to replace the board but guess what once again they sent out two more technicians who have now removed the board to have it “tested” – obviously they do not have much faith in their own technicians! I now am sitting without any alarm system! Fox unfortunately you are useless and I will also not hesitate to paste this message on every conceivable social media platform! My next course of action should social media not get your attention will be to approach my attorney. My advice to anyone out there is do NOT have an alarm system installed by this company!
