Sending Alcohol as an promotional item is absolute thoughless. You can not send alcohol to someone that has not ordered it. What if you send it to a house with a recovering addict? You would ruin that person and their family's life. What if a child opens it and drinks it. It doesn't even look like alcohol. It just shows the absolute disregard of people's lifes and shows clearly your only priority is making money. It doesn't matter who pays. I am horrified that no judgement was used fir something like this.
I have been a loyal customer of 6060 since it started. At first packages where stapled shut with a sticker. This made it difficult to ***** products from the bag. Now they only use a flimsy sticker to "close" the bag. My bags are almost always open upon arrival. Today two of my products were opened and partly consumed. This is absolutely unacceptable. Put in better safety measures for picky please! It is ridiculous that this is not already a priority, we live in South Africa!?
This will be my third bad review (previous ones can be viewed for more context) regarding the SAME issue that has still not been resolved. I have unfortunately picked up on how they pretend to care now. After a review someone calls (and this is after emails and calls have not worked), we have a conversation where details regarding the issue is discussed -this issue specifically is regarding my maternity benefit basket that has not been reset after a previous miscarriage resulting in claims for this pregnancy not being paid. The consultant will say something like "they have to escalate this to some specific department" and will come back to me. THEY NEVER COME BACK. I never receive email correspondence regarding the status of the claim. Just nothing. The issue has still not been resolved since December 13nth. I have sent several emails and made several calls which is costing me time and money. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible service.
I have written a bad review for Discovery on 29 December regarding absolutely horrible service regarding claim administration. The details are in that review. I got a call and things started to look like they are moving forward. It is 31st of January today and I have still not received any response regarding my maternity basket that has not been reset after a miscarriage, causing claims for this pregnancy not to be paid. I was contacted and assured the problem has been identified and will be resolved. That was 9 January. I have followed up, Still nothing. Can service be as horrible as this for a company of this status? This could just as well be a state run company. If you are considering them as a medical aid. Don't.
I have been battling with discovery to pay a specialist since July. All the appropriate routes where taken, I have called and enquired several times, each time being ensured that all is resolved and that the claim will be payed out. Just to find out every time that it is still not paid for some reason. We are pregnant with our fourth child, had a miscarriage just before this pregnancy. Now there is an administration issue with the previous pregnancy benefit basket causing scans and bloodtests that would otherwise be covered, to not be covered. I have also called and enquired about this, once again being ensured that it is now resolved. Just to find out it is still not resolved and claims are not paid and left to my account. The administration is extremely frustrating. Getting through via call centre becomes an expense on its own trying to get everything resolved multiple times. And with the income verification there has been a further administrative fault. I provided bank statements, payslip statements, everything as incredibly complete as it possibly can be. And now they have put me on a income bracket that I should not be, meaning I will pay double the payment that I should. Now once again trying to resolve their messes. I am so tired, frustrated and honestly angry. I have been a loyal member of discovery for almost 10 years, very seldom having issues. But this year their system is a complete mess. I am strongly considering moving to a better equipped medical aid that actually cares about their members.
