We visited Pachas on September 2nd to celebrate a family anniversary, expecting a high standard of dining, given the reputation and the premium pricing. The ambiance and service were excellent, and our initial impression of the food was very positive—everything tasted well-prepared and flavorful at first. However, my father couldn't finish his meal, while my mother and I enjoyed ours at the restaurant. The evening seemed wonderful until early the next morning, when my father woke up at 4 a.m. feeling unwell and began vomiting. We suspect it may have been from the steak and mashed potatoes, which we later felt might not have agreed with him or been as enjoyable as we initially thought. This was a disappointing experience for what we had hoped would be a memorable meal, and unfortunately, we don’t feel confident in returning. We believe that for a fine dining establishment with such high prices, the quality and consistency need to match the elevated expectations.
I ordered a Margerita pizza with extra mozzarella from Debonairs. Unfortunately I was deeply disappointed with the taste of the pizza. The flavours were lackluster, and the overall experience was far from satisfying. The mozzarella cheese in particular, tasted inferior. Having visited other Pizza locations in Pretoria and quite frankly Debonairs in Pretoria as well, I couldn't help but notice a significant difference in taste. The mozzarella cheese in particular, which usually has a rich and creamy flavour in Pretoria, tasted bland and subpar at The Crossing Mahikeng. The stark contrast in taste raises concerns about the quality standards maintained at Debonairs Pizza The Crossing Mahikeng. I urge the management of Debonairs Pizza to revisit their ingredients and cooking processes to ensure they meet the high standards expected of the Debonairs brand. Investing in higher quality ingredients, particularly when it comes to cheese, could greatly enhance the overall takeaway experience for customers. My overall experience at Debonairs Pizza The Crossing Mahikeng was extremely disappointing.the inferior taste of the pizza and mozzarella cheese left much to be desired, and I sincerely hope steps will be taken to address these concerns in the future.
