Worst service received from Charmaine at Wijnlands. Due to my urgency in wanting to move to De Aan Zicht in January, I was treated unfairly. She didn’t make time for me. The WiFi issue was a nightmare. She didn’t have a clue on how to assist me and kept asking me to speak to Nicolene the estate agent then she made a plan with the tenant only for me to figure out what to do. The apartment was dirty upon arrival. There was nothing broken but just a lot of dust on the balcony rails, the tiles, the bathroom had weird spots and the toilet was slightly dirty. I decided to pay for my own domestic to thoroughly clean the apartment. When I sent in my notice Charmaine told me she wants tenants to view. I cleaned the apartment and she failed to bring them through. She said she wants to still come to take a video of the apartment. After showing her the apartment on a video I took myself to show that it was cleaned, she decided not to come. Meaning I basically did the work for her? I was charged over R1800+ for the apartment to be cleaned yet I cleaned the apartment thoroughly with my partner before I could leave. Clearly she didn’t want the landlord to pay a fee or for her to pay a fee for a cleaning coming to make it easier for the next tenant moving in. So she decided it’ll be nice to take all of my money from my deposit to get the apartment deep cleaned which was something never offered to me when moving in. How can you be liable for R1800 cleaning fees in a one bedroom apartment which was cleaned with detergents before moving out? Absolutely shocking how such an agency can rob their clients. Not to mention Charmaine’s attitude when I left the keys with the security at the main gate. I told her the instructions and she said “I got no time to drive up and down for the key” When I called the security gate, they told me they have the key and will provide it to the agent when she comes. It’s all sweet talks when you’re trying to close a deal, but once you’re a tenant, this is a nightmare to be under this agency. Absolute ******s. Mark my words, I will make this go as viral as possible.
Absolutely horrific service. I paid over R200 for a router to be delivered. When the router arrived, Afrihost battled to get me connected to the WiFi. It picked up no connectivity. My ONT fibre was perfect but AFRIHOST kept saying they will try and resolve it. Now they don’t to charge me R999 for a cancellation. I think these guys plan to eat your money up and it’s so bad. imagine paying for someone you cannot use. Please do not use Afrihost. You are shooting yourself in the foot and they will not help you whatsoever. I’m not one to complain, infact from all the ****ty services I received in my past 30 years, Afrihost is the one who made me decide to open up a hello Peter account just to save the next person from making the wrong choice. TRUST ME
