I gifted a new mom with a 10 day baby-nurse care voucher. What a blunder that was. The nurse that arrived the first night, a Wed, to care for a new born was sniffing and blowing her nose the whole night through. The following day she posted a pic with a headband and a statement that she was ill. The excuse given by Rhona the manager/owner of Complete Care was that the nurse had allergies. 🫤 Given this incident the mom natutally was reticent to continue with this service and duly explained her concern to Rhona the following day. Rhona then gave her the option to terminate the contract if she wanted to do so (how convienient for here). After giving itsome thought, the mom duly did cancel later that day, since no alternative was offered like changing out the nurse. With that contract now terminated, I set out to get Complete Care group to refund the outstanding amount. It’s taken me over 2 months with regular reminders to have just a little over R2.3K refunded of the R6.7k paid to them. Bare in mind, that this is for one night of nurse care. They have all sorts of clauses penalising you if you discontinue a contract. I accept that they can charge a few xtra nights as a penalty, but it’s nothing short of ****ming a person, when a company is chargimg not only 5 nts penalty fee,but also different nights at different rates so that nt 4 and 5, which would have fallen over a weekend (but were never used) are now charged at much higher prices?? Incidentally they agreed to charge 4 nights and charged 5 in the end. In total I was refunded one third of the money paid to them for 1 night of nurse-care--- which is proposterous! Complete Care has managed to show the Completeness of their CARE in first and foremost looking after their own greedy gain. I cannot recommend this sort of company who behaves in such a manner!
