Gadget Candy in Waterfall Mall, Rustenburg in Northwest is the worst place to ever take your phone there. I had a very bad experience with the guys there. In November 2023 I took my phone (Huawei PSmart) to be repaired the screen and frame. When I went to fetch it, it was fine but after some time it started switching off and ended up not having power even when I charge it and it would just go off. on 30 December 2023 I took it back the guy at the shop switched it on to my surprise and he said I should leave it so that he can check it maybe it's the LCD or the motherboard he said I should come back after the 6th of January 2024. I went back and he said he is still going to look at it, because the phone was at the workshop he didn't bring it to the shop. I went back after a week the guy claimed that I took my phone with me the other time when I was there, and I asked why would I waste my time and come back to the shop and want my phone back if I took it? he changed the story and he said he wants a slip because I didn't have the slip with me, I said I will come back when I have the slip. I went back with the slip he still said I took the phone but changes and says he cannot find the phone; he changed the statement again and said he will look for it at the workshop. I ended up telling them that I will not leave without my phone and stayed there at the shop. Those guys are heartless, show no remorse at all, just care about money only. I was heartbroken because I went to their shop with the trust in them that I will get my phone. That phone I was using it for business I lost all the documents, pictures, and other important information and I tried to explain to them that I want my phone back they ended up saying they will replace it. They gave me a Huawei P30Lite which was broken and looked old I refused to take it. I went back the following day they claimed that they found my phone and gave me a Huawei PSmart that looked like mine but it was wiped I asked them where my files were there said my phone came like that with nothing in it, I took the phone and found that it was a 64G and mine was a 128G and they now changed the story again when I said my phone was a 128G they said I should go home and bring the box to prove that it was a 128G. I was SOOO fed-up and disappointed at that kind of treatment and abuse and the waste of my time in their shop the whole day as if I have nothing better to do. I run a business, I am a single parent and a woman if my time is wasted, I lose money and all the petrol to go back and forth to their shop and be told stories every day that behaviour is uncalled for. No business ethics. Gadget Candy must just close they lie, they deceive people, they gave me another phone which was a 64G again and I refused to take it until they bought me a brand-new phone which was a 2Simcard and 128G however I have lost things in that particular phone I took for repairs. If people are not honest innocent people suffer. I don't deserve to have suffered like this in my country as a woman at the hands of grown-up man. Gadget Candy in Waterfall Mall you should operate good business and stop running a ****. Infact all these people who own cellphone shops are ****s. It is better to go to a proper cellphone repair shop dealers to repair your phone there. Imagine for 3 months I have been running after them for my phone and they tell lies and say I took the phone when they know what they did with my phone. They have a camera in the store when I said they should check the footage to prove that I did not take my phone they say it is a dummy camera, but the other day the guy said he cannot give me my phone because his boss is monitoring the shop on the camera. Gadget Candy website looks ***** it is just one pathetic page without lots of information, their head office contact number on the website does not work how come for a big company like that. Thanks to the guy who bought me a new phone. But I will never recommend a person to go to their shop for repairs even for screen protectors or any electronics. I nearly escalated this issue to the social media if it was not solved.
