I purchased a Red Rhino booster pump with a controller. Initially, everything worked fine, but after two weeks, the pump stopped activating when the water was off. I returned to the hardware store, and they connected me with the supplier for Red Rhino pumps. The supplier insisted that installing a non-return valve (NRV) on the pump’s suction would resolve the issue. Despite my doubts, I followed their advice, purchased and installed the NRV, but the problem persisted. Frustrated, I returned to the store and spoke to the supplier again. They suggested I buy another controller and promised to refund me if the original one was faulty. I reluctantly agreed and installed the new controller, which has worked perfectly since. However, nearly a month later, they contacted me to say that my original controller was not faulty, and I could come to collect it. This is extremely disappointing. After spending additional money on an unnecessary NRV and a replacement controller, I’m left to believe they are avoiding accountability. Their claim that the old controller is “100% functional” is unconvincing, given the clear issues it caused. Red Rhino’s after-sales support is pathetic, and their lack of responsibility is unacceptable. Customers deserve better service and honest resolutions. I would not recommend their products based on this experience.
Not helpful at all, after getting a motivation letter from the doctor to state my serious health condition to cover all the blood tests that have been conducted to determine the the direct cause, they said my benefit for the year was depleted and that they don’t have money to cover the additional costs which does not even exceed R4700. So according to me if a medical aid company does not have R4700 to add on top of your benefit after not even considering the motivation letter from the doctor they most definitely does not have your best interest at heart. Wish I could take away the 1 star they force me to give.
