Was contacted by VVM attorneys due to owing Telkom. I'd paid in full, back in April 2025, and requested a paid up letter. I was told to wait. Fast forward to January 2026, where another attorney had contacted me to blacklist me due to the above account. After having contacted VVM again, on 22 January 2026, I was informed that I need to wait for 72 hours for my paid up letter to reflect, and an additional 21 days before it would be sent to me. Upon inquiring as to why I did not t receive it last year, the consultant tried telling me that I had not requested me. Upon providing proof that I actually had, I was still told that I'd have to wait. One should not have to face being blacklisted due to failure on VVM's end to do their jobs correctly. Highly unprofessional and has a pattern of lying.
Always receive professional, hospitable and efficient service from staff. Hygiene and comfort are always key with this beautiful hotel. Spacious rooms that offer you your own little space to unwind during stays. Additionally located right across Gateway, so that's an added bonus for convenience.
Owner is a proud supporter of genocide & GBV. He has actively gone out of his way to physically assault women in public in his free time. Cannot imagine ever supporting a business whose owner is proud of such disgusting behavior. Zero stars.
Please be wary of swiping your card at Checksave, near Silversands. The cashier had swiped my card twice after their card machine had taken a long time to process, only for it to say declined. Both my cashier, as well as the cashier next to her, then informed me that there's been an ongoing issue with their network. After leaving everything that I'd intended on purchasing behind & exiting the store, I received a notification that the money had been deducted from my bank account. (A few other customers had also experienced the same issue whilst I was there.) Upon my return to the store one of the emoloyees, Samkhe, had told me to wait a few minutes for it to be corrected, which was not the case. After some time, I asked to speak to their manager. The manager, Lennen, then told me to wait for two hours, & that if I was not refunded by the end of the day, I'd need to go to the bank, print a bank statement, go back to Checksave & then wait for him to submit a form and thereafter wait for it to get approved by his superiors. He refused to let me email it instead of me wasting money & time by running around. He additionally refused to disclose any higher-ups contact details. I have still not been refunded.
