I’m extremely disappointed in Vodacom. On 28 February 2025, I was contacted by a Vodacom rep offering to change my Red TopUp plan (1.4GB, 200 minutes, 200 SMS) to a R490 airtime deal for just R43 more per month. I agreed to this specific offer — nothing else. The next day, I discovered that Vodacom had added a 2.5TB Uncapped 5G Home Internet service to my account — something I NEVER agreed to, discussed, or needed. I’ve since been charged R1,400+ per month for that service, plus a shocking R7,187.50 migration fee, bringing my latest bill to R9,076.49. Completely unacceptable. For 3 weeks I’ve called Vodacom repeatedly to fix this (with call logs to prove it), and I was told it would be corrected by 1 April. Yet now I have a massive bill and zero resolution. The migration quote even states R0.00 migration fee — so where is this charge coming from? I've compiled all my evidence and still no one is taking accountability. If this isn't resolved urgently, I’ll be forced to escalate to ICASA, the NCC, and get legal support. Vodacom, you need to take this seriously. This is not just poor service — it's a contractual violation.
Unresolved Data Deletion Request I am extremely disappointed with Vending Solutions' lack of action and professionalism regarding my request to have my personal information deleted from their systems. Despite multiple formal requests, including one sent in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), my data has not been removed, and I continue to receive unwanted communications. This is a clear failure to respect customer privacy and comply with South Africa’s data protection laws. As a last resort, I have given them 24 hours to resolve this issue, failing which I will escalate the matter to the Information Regulator. I urge Vending Solutions to take customer data privacy more seriously and handle such requests promptly and professionally. This experience has severely impacted my trust in their business practices.
