I saw one of their ads on tv and the said "No waiting period on natural death" I sent an sms to be called back upon taking up the policy and waiting periods explained I realized that the ad was all a lie, misleading and false advertising. I did contact the insurer and they admitted to it as being an error and "they dont know how that happened" in their defence. This particular ad was airing for weeks and weeks and I wonder how many people took out policies at that time when seeing the ad and to them even today that is the information they withold though not knowing that they were also misled. As we speak the ad has now been edited that misleading part completely removed but I do have the recording of the original misleading ad in my possesion. Assupol offered me a "gratitude hamper" for making them aware of the "error" as they say but I said No to that and they tried offering me a policy with waiting periods waived as the ad stated "No waiting period on natural death" I still refused and to me that raised eyebrows is this how they "conduct" their business?!! The "error" as they refer to it was just that whereas I suffered emotional when I found out that it was all a lie the ad.
This SRD service center is uselless with the whole Social development department. They cant help you with anything all they know is apologizing and some being rude "Senzo" a consultant I spoke to just now telling me "Seems like I need a quick fix" imagine a quick fix just because were unemployed these so called agents think they can speak whatsover with me. I have been approved since Novemver 2023 till today I have not recieved any of the so called social relief grant.few weeks to go it is elections clearly the voting polls will be filled with us unemployed youth and we know that our current goverment doesnt care about us.
