Horrible experience with Claim process. I have been with iMakamu Funerals since 2022, paying my premiums on time all the time, now when i need to claim for my brothers funeral im told my cover has lapsed just because i was paying on a later date than the one originally set. I went to their help desk small office in Phumula to check if my cover is up to date, the lady there said i am only 1 month behind and can make payment right away, after she told me i was behind by one month only, i did make payment before the passing of my brother but i was still told that i will not be covered. I have been paying R470.00 Monthly from 2022 and only one month and i cannot bury my brother, i was told i will need to pay the sum of R23 000.00 to get their services. I kept going to the offices in Alrode because the Hospital that he passed away at (Thelle Mogoerane ) kept delaying the release of the body and when i went there no one bothered to check if i am still covered and according to my Knowledge i was covered because that is what the Lady at the Phumula offices told me. I am Irate and frustrated. If my Policy Lapsed why did they continue taking my premiums? If the policy was behind why did i not get notified by them in writting? What about grace period? I would not Recommend iMakamu to anyone!! They are the Worst
Im so disappointed and hurt by Makro new market alberton to be exact! And after reading everyones reviews i just feel i will not even be assisted nor compensated for anything and i will need to accept that in this dying ecomony i have lost R1236.00 to Makro and thier incompetence!. On 20th January i placed my first order with Makro to start my small business trying to make ends meet. I collectected my order only to find out i was missing 2 cases of Rhodes nectar cranberry juice which is 48 juices . I called in to let them know of this error, because surprisingly the guy who was assisting me failed to mention that they were out of stock but instead said i got all my stock on the app whic i didnt ,they advised i need to log A refund online on the app, they declined it and said i need to go into the store what what, i went back in there amd was advised a refund will be issued this was on the 25th January 2026..(no refund has been issued nor was it logged) i called in on the 11 February only to find out they never logged a refund. On the 07 February 2026 i made another order of R1130.40 via payflex.. after the money was successfully de****ed from my account the app gave me an error "payment failed" i went to the store on the 08 February to enquire because the money never bounced bavk to my account and Payflex said tramsaction was succesful, i was adviced to log a request via email to care which i did on the 10 February 2026 with everything i was asked to attach. I contacted my bank as well which said the funds were successful i attached all that. I calles in on the 12 to find out whats happening and i was told its being dealt with by the finance department. Its the 17th today and nothing has been said. I have run out of Patience and airtime.
