Used Herkie at 2 previous properties to add solar to my geysers and all went well. Recently requested him to install on a new build. Had a phone convo detailing everything on the Tuesday, namely that this was for a cottage in the back yard of my property. He needed to come round and just double check things again (had been there 6 months before during construction already). Friday he shows up at the house and is let in by staff, says he doesn't know where to go or what he needs to look at. Staff were unsure so sent him into the main house where he proceeds to inspect a random geyser in a roof space and in the process turns off the mains supply, in this difficult to reach roof space, to our upstairs en-suite bathroom. I contacted him shortly after discovering this, an hour or so after they left the premises and he refused to come back to open the valve again. There was no one on the premises able to get into that roof space so I had to call my helpful local plumber who climbed up there, turned the valve that I said would be closed and our water was back on, easy. Herkie flat out refused to accept responsibility nor to assist. Would not make use of his services again as if something was damaged by them they would just deny responsibility.
I have been using shipping forwarders like MYUS and shipito, AGS, and PBC for over 20 years. I've mostly used shipito because their Aramex rates were amazing and their service was flawless. I recently changed over to MYUS because your rates were better. My experience with MYUS this last shopping trip has been terrible. I've had to contact support chat several times, like 5+ times to resolve issues, some more than once! Support workers have also told me many times that I would be updated about an issue in 1-2 days but I NEVER receive any correspondence. I always have to follow up again. I've had packages that were supposed to be returned delayed because a cancelled package split request was not actually cancelled. Then I was billed for it as well, I was also billed for the resulting split packages then technically being in my mailbox too long. It's possible that I will now miss the 30 day amazon return window due to this crazy delay by MYUS and when I asked that the items be processed on priority I was told I'd have to pay. The incorrectly charged aforementioned fees were referred to by the support person as "waived fees" which is ridiculous, those are refunds for incorrect charges, there's a difference! Dropping the fee for priority shipping, because the delay is MYUS'S fault would be waiving a fee, and is what a business should do after messing up like this. After this experience I will not be using MYUS again and I will not be recommending them to anyone either. Several of my friends were involved in this consolidation and they are all very unhappy with the delays and returned products so they won't be speaking highly of MYUS either. Lastly I had an entire package containing 5 items withheld from a ship-out request because it was decided at the last minute that one of the items was a lithium battery that couldn't be shipped, but one of the other items in the same shipment had the EXACT SAME LITHIUM BATTERY in it. I wasn't notified of this. Nor was just the item with the battery removed and the rest of the package shipped, which would have been great. I was also billed shipping for that package's weight as if it was actually added to the consolidation and I had to contact support to get it refunded. Clearly your systems do not function properly. Now to ship those tiny items to me will have an additional high base cost which defeats the point of consolidation. Instead I'll be returning those items as well and shipping them again from amazon (because amazon prime actually works) and using aramex global shopper instead as their base rates are waaaay lower.
