I purchase "a" (singular) product from MAELYS Cosmetics on Facebook and the very same day, when checking my bank account they put a substantial hold on my account. I immediately cancelled the order and then and requested the release the money being held, which they did. I received a parcel about a week later and tried to contact them on their telephone number. It was not working. I then went onto the website and emailed them requesting a return label resulting in stalling responses. We will give you a 20% discount and so forth. Also they made no mention of only giving credits and not refunds after a certain time??? I most certainly would not be paying this type of money for a face cream.... $165.00!!!! As a consumer I feel this is a ****... Yes they have a product but they are not being upfront with their clientele. I feel cheated and deceived as they are misrepresenting and manipulating consumers. I am now contemplating legal avenues.
I purchased two ALVA 16L Gas Geysers to install at my property. We initially were going to use Makro's Gas Installers (BLINGSTALLATION), however after two weeks of promising to come and install giving us dates and not arriving, I got other Gas installers to professionally install the geysers and was not anticipating any issues. I left the same day on a holiday and returned 17 days later only to find that one of the ALVA Gas Geysers was not functioning properly. The geyser was switching on and lighting up with no hot water taps being opened. We then took the geyser back to Makro and because we did not get the faulty product back to them within 14 days, we had to send it in for repairs. We were then told it would take approximately 21 working days to get the geyser back. (We had no hot water in our kitchen and one bathroom for the entire time). We picked up the "repaired" gas geyser on the 20th June 2024 and reinstalled it this morning the 21st June 2024. To check the geyser, we turned on the tap immediately and the ignition clicked as well as the flame lit up. We then turned off the tap and the geyser shut down... We waited to see if it was going to self ignite (click) and light the flame without any tap being turn on and it did this within 2 minutes???? It is my belief that there was absolutely no repairs done on this geyser. We are now being told that we have to return this ALVA 16L GAS GEYSER to be sent away again for 4 weeks to be "REPAIRED"???????? This is absolutely unacceptable and I cannot see why MAKRO cannot take this matter further.... I would not recommend that anyone buy and appliance from Makro as their service is NON EXISTENT. If this is the policy of ALVA then one must ask one self should we (MAKRO) be supplying this product with this kind of "SERVICE"?????
