Smartfairs linked to Air Tickets, has given me such horrid service. I require a name change on my flight to match my marriage surname as displayed on my passport instead of my ****en surname. A easy mistake to fix. Instead they have a policy stating: when a flight is booked with two different airlines - no name change is possible. Instead you must cancel your ticket, non refundable and purchase a new one. My recommendation, is to rather book with the airlines straight or to use trusted travel agents. Travelstart had my name changed in 24 hours. No hassle. A small fee was paid instead of a new flight ticket.
Vodacom, I have only had contracts with you for years. I've always been a happy customer - no issues. You made a decision to outsource services to Elite Mobile. I was called about the need to update my contract by someone who didn't have any knowledge concerning Vodacom products. I was offered a data contract and agreed, only to be called back 10 minutes later that a mistake was made, and the price is different from the one she informed me about. So I asked her to just change me to a data contract at a similar price to the one I'm currently paying for. She said she found something, and I agreed. On the 30th of June my network disappeared. I called Vodacom to be informed that I was switched to a home WI-FI network. The only solution offered by either Vodacom or Elite Mobile is to wait 30 days for my previous contract to be reinstated. I must work, and live without network for 30 days because someone from elite mobile doesn't understand the difference between a data contract and home wifi? To also have systems that don't allow you to turn on someone's network when an error has been made. Lastly, to have to pay for Wi-Fi I won't be using. All of these errors seem so unnecessary. If Elite Mobile just trained their service agents on basic product knowledge.
